    It really helps to have a Parts truck. And the reason I bought this 77 Cheyenne is I'm the 2nd owner and its got 52k on the clock. I wish they wouldn't have let it sit outside for 40+ years.

    Waiting on Rear Driveshaft cut and Balance with new U-Joints & Carrier bearing. Then off to the exhaust shop for Factory Dual exhaust, Almost looks like I could drive it away now. ;)

    Preformed hoses

    Does anybody have a source for preformed hoses? My 454 (now K30) has the outside of the frame fuel line and the 3/8" preformed over the frame hose is dry rotted. I suppose I could use just bulk fuel line but the bends are funky. I also need to replace the power steering 3/4" reservoir hose...

    An old friend of mine use to say "If GM engineered it it'll probably work" I spent the weekend modifying the C30 crossmember. I think it works great for my old Home Depot cruiser.

    Yes, the frame is different from K30 to C30. The frame pitches up steeper and goes up farther the engine mounting area. So I am bummed to find out that I cant simply use the 4x4 engine crossmember. I will have to "FABRICATE" ONE

    I am waiting for new shocks, new K30 rubber brake line and swaybar endlinks. I also need to go back to the junkyard and get the correct E-brake frame brackets. Hopefully this weekend I can start the front conversion.

    I was gonna do Rivets. That would take a month. Grade 8 3/8"-16 flange bolts with grade 8 flange top lock nuts is way easier.

    I do have the 79 K20 cross member. I also got my SM465/NP205 from a 76 K20 so I believe it's the figure 8 style? I think the K30 c&c in my local junkyard was a TH400/NP205. I'm pretty sure the cross member is still under it with the NP205. I'll be there Saturday morning..

    SM465 & NP205 I have the cross member from the 79 K20 but since the frame is 2" taller it looks like it'll make the tranny & Tcase 2" lower??

    I'm converting a 77 C30 to K30 I'm using all stock brackets from a 79 K20. I had to get rear front spring hangars from a 82 K30 cab & chassis in the local junkyard. Does anybody know about the transmission transfercase crossmember? Looks like the only thing I didn't think of...
