1985 305 keeps dying after a few seconds

Watching the first vid the choke appears to be working close to correct. It doesn't sound like the fast idle cam engaged though. It should be running around 1100 rpm. Sounds like its puttering at a normal idle. Also didn't see a waterfall fuel leak.

1985 305 keeps dying after a few seconds

The float is stuck open. Whack the side of the carb with a wrench. You should check the oil for gas also.

    305 tbi carb swap

The 600 is ok. The victor jr is the wrong choice. You'll want a dual plane.

Towing a diesel 2500 Burb on a 17’ flatbed trailer

Those ramps are definitely well made, but that fold up style is a PITA on a car trailer. If you plan to haul a lot of cars I'd recommend making them so they slide under the trailer for storage. I did that with mine and it's super handy. You'll have to strap the ramps to the rear bumper of the...

Towing a diesel 2500 Burb on a 17’ flatbed trailer

Those ramps will force the 'burb up or you'll have to strap them up somehow. You'll have plenty of tongue weight, maybe too much. That 6.2 is heavy as hell, you'll have to find a way to keep the burb back. I'd pull the ramps after you get it up there and then back it up some.

1990 Suburban 350 TBI camshaft question

Cars got roller cams in 87. All blocks were cast for the roller provisions at that point, but were only drilled for the spider if needed. I believe trucks went roller in 95 with the SFI, but I could be wrong there.

    Pumping Air to a Catalyst

I believe LT1 powered fourth gen F cars had electric air pumps. I remember the vacuum cleaner noise to go with the vacuum cleaner looks...

Cylinder head water passage corrosion, opinions?

Looks to be right on the edge of the fire ring. I'd have them cut before installing.

    1991 Chevy V3500 Cummins

In the drag racing world it's generally accepted that rotational weight is anywhere from 5-10x heavier than "normal" weight at speed.. then add in the aerodynamics of a lifted brick.

    1991 Chevy V3500 Cummins

For comparison my dmax swap gets 16mpg highway and country driving. Thats a stock LLy and Allison with 3.73s. 33x12.50 tires. The 37" tires are killing you. Way too much rolling weight.

How much are these parts worth?

I wouldn't bother saving any of it. Lots of donors out there still and virtually no market.

    Turbines!

I don't see why you couldn't. They might stick out some.

    Turbines!

They are! Still available. I'll be going to Carlisle in the spring if that helps anyone.

I believe thats the same wiper motor GM used on everything in that era. A replacement will be easy to come by.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

I have a set of 15x10 6 lug turbines that I am looking to sell. Thats the best look with these trucks. I don't have any 6 lug stuff anymore.

Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?

Its probably lifted properly- arched springs and not lift blocks, so it looks factory.

73 Blazer 350 spark plug stuck

Truthfully I stopped reading your response when you told him to pull the head. Or the "right way" was to pull the head. The EZ out method works great, I've done it many times on all sorts of rigs. You gotta make sure the piston is down and the valves are closed as well. Either way I meant...

73 Blazer 350 spark plug stuck

Been done that several times. I'm assuming you put a socket on it and twisted the hex off? Put the plug wire back on and start it. The entire core of the plug will shoot out. the hex part is what holds the plug together. Put a little heat on it and an EZ out down it and it'll come right...

87 tbi 350 popping at idle and running rich

This is unhinged man. I've had a pile of TBI trucks and blazers. I've worked on/fixed somewhere around a Brazilian of these systems back in the day as a full-time job not a hobby. Re-read my posts, I never disagreed that a meter wouldn't work. How you jumped to this conclusion is baffling. I'm...
