Clearance issues with lowering spindles and what you did about it…
I went with 17x8 wheels front and 17x9 wheels on the rear. Before that I kept moving wheel weight or knocking them off with the stock 8” wheels. Liked the stock wheels but like the lowered look better.- WesN

Time to go do a little drag racing in the Street Sportsman class. Installed a tach up high, shift light, launch controller and of course a line lock.Tach up high, shift light, launch controller and of course a line lock. -

Depending on how you dropped the front 5” you might have clearance issues with 15” stock wheels hit your lower control arms.- WesN

Long tube headers/dual exhaust question
I was experiencing horrible drone at 30 mph so installed the crossover. Mellowed just enough to kill the drone and enjoy cruising around town. I made it so it will come apart so one side or the other can be removed without fighting with both.- WesN

Anybody recognize these seats?
Many years ago I replaced my stock seat with an aftermarket that had the fold down center. That seat was like sitting in your Grama‘s living-room couch so comfortable but when time for a restore of the interior I had to go back to the original and get out of the 80’s to go back to the 80’s lol -
18 or 20" wheels?
What about some 26” or 28” or whatever they are? Expensive wagon wheels in my old school opinion.- WesN

454 spits out carb at 20% or so throttle at low speed
Possibly a cam lobe going away. Haven’t seen it for years but replaced many for popping out of carb back in the day when GM had its cam issue of wearing out lobes.- WesN

70s Propane/Turbo conversion?
Northern guys would understand this , propane truck conversions would blow out nice smoke rings in the winter at idle after a couple of years. Why? Because guys would crank up the mixture to get more power and more propane more heat more power but the valves start melting and hence the exhaust...- WesN

Sanding 81 truck frame?
I did mine by hand scraping and sanding then brushed a few heavy coats of Rustolium paint. Really the truck is lowered so once the box is on there is one person that will be seeing the frame…me. It’s not a show Queen so won’t have any mirrors on the ground when it gets parked I just want it to...- WesN

Playing with hookers today. 10 out of 10!
Guys in Arizona don’t know how lucky they are, look at how clean the underside of that truck is!!! I would bet there is not a single bolt that couldn’t be remove without twisting off or rounding the head. Northeast guys and gal’s would find it sooo easy working on a desert square. Question on Shaved doors and maybe other stuff.
I at one time bought a square that had the door handles deleted and a push button in the grill to pop the doors. AWEFUL if it was parked down hill the door would pop and then open fully maybe giving out door dings or if you were parked uphill it might pop open and then close on the first latch... -

I mounted up a set of M/T Et Street R tires and had some fun at the track. With old setup I was struggling to get anywhere near a good reaction time but changed the trans with one i rebuilt and added a holeshot converter pulled off better times but inconsistent so on went the M/T’s and this... -
I'm baffled. Relay issue.
Relay terminal 30 12v + live terminal 85 12v + switched Terminal 86 ground Terminal 87 12v + output terminals 86 and 85 can be reversed terminal 87a is normally connected to 30 but open when 86&85 are activated- WesN

The old girl is getting a new transmission today. i rebuilt the trans this past winter and decided to go with a B&M Holeshot 2400 converter. -

After 208,000 klm and a few Hundred passes down the 1/4 mile (7 on last Friday) the th350C transmission is out of the truck for the first time in its life. It was still working well but I rebuilt a different th350 and adding a stall converter so I can have more fun at the track. I will freshen... -
