Drove it for about a hour tonight and so far so good. I need some wood if I plan on getting it on the driveway cause the front valance hits before I'm even close to the concrete curb. Joys of a ground huggers. The thing drive like a tank on steroids though compared to the kids civic lol.

So the main reason he parked the call all these years ago was cause the power steering rack was leaking. It took about a hour to get it out. 3 hours to get to this point and another 4 hours to rebuild. Was not very fun. Has Teflon seals and there a bugger to install and recompress. Then took 3...

Some squares for sale in my area.

Man if i had money this would be one fantastic truck for work for what i do. Lower it slightly and throw some factory hub caps on it. And the price is right if in as good of shape as it looks. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/meadow-lake/1982-chev-1ton-step-side-service-truck/1694682195

Got a pile of fluids all changed out. Man I will say the brake fluid was nasty. Struts came in a week early so didn't waste anytime installing them. I also lowered the car about a inch and half. Looks alot nicer now Next up was getting the front black valance reinstalled. Well I will say...

Are C10 and K10 jacks the same?

This is the extra one I have from a suburban 4x4 has no j hook.

Are C10 and K10 jacks the same?

I believe the c10s have a j hook style to hook onto the control arm. I have a k10 one and it's just a crank style bottle jack

    Jack for Spare 35’s

My factory jack for my suburban lifts my 33s no problem and has a couple of inches of room left. Any mounts nicely in its factory spot. Now if I could find my tire iron I'd be good to go.

Unfortunately its a automatic. If it were stick I probably be worth alot more too. I got the struts all off last night and power steering rack is leaking. I'm having a hard time finding parts for this car that aren't a arm and leg. Rolling the dice on struts from amazon for 600 bucks. Compared...

    04 Suburban oil pan, whew

What lift kit did i just buy

I agree I need to add some materials to them to go to underside of frame and way bigger bolts. They hang down roughly 2 inches lower then the frame. I got some 4 inch angle iron laying around so will probably use that. I cleaned up the springs and there rough country springs. They do not flex...

What lift kit did i just buy

Here's a few more pictures of the shackle drops. The welds on them actually look pretty good for a diy set. The shackle joint has a grease point aswell. Do we think it needs some extra bracing? Also its only held on by 4 bolts which not a fan of.

What lift kit did i just buy

So browsing the kijiji coffee and some one posted of this for 200 bucks. I said I'd be there for how ever it takes me to get to his place. The rear springs are 52s and look original so no good to me but the shackle flip may put me where I need to be with in dunno the lift of the front springs...

Transfer case support brace. Who got one to sell?

All this talk of the transmission brace and made me remember when I was painting my frame I noticed my front bolt had snapped off. Now my body is sitting back on the frame and isn't gonna be a easy fix now.

    What is this noise/chirp…speedometer cable?

Sounds just like mine did. I actually pulled the hole cable out and cleaned and used speedo cable lube. The previous owner had used some sort of oil and was gummed up pretty bad.

    Well we bought another one...

Deadly find there for 1500 bucks. What small town in saskatchewan? I'm in saskatoon and stuff sells for way to much around here if its sitting in a field.
