Help With Parking Break Dash Light Staying On
If you do pull on the park brake release and lift up on the pedal and the light goes off, you probably just need to tighten up your parking brake cable a bit so the springs out back pull the pedal up all the way when released. I'll take this challenge, But It's a list of what I did since the middle of August. I dragged home an '83 GMC that had been in a shed perhaps since around 1988. Wisconsin Truck, so there are a few little holes but nothing major. 71,000 miles on the clock. I'm 65, retired just a few months... -

Help with GVWR Label ?
Oh Jeez.. two minutes after I posted, I used a KG to Lbs calculator and found that the second number is Kilograms ! Duh ! There is no indicator on the tag that says anything about Kg's, but 1339Kg = 2950 lbs. So, I got it figured out. Thanks anyhow. I'm pretty new to the group with a truck I...- grummy

Help with GVWR Label ?
Can someone explain what my Door Weight Tag is actually telling me ? Maybe I am just stupid, but they show two numbers for each section. Here is what I have: GVWR 5200 / 2359 GAWR Frt 2950 / 1339 GAWR Rr 3100 / 1407 I assume the GVWR of 5200 is the max weight, but what is the 2359 ? I don...- grummy

Delay Wiper Module
I'm new here. Haven't even looked into how to post photos ! But if I have it correct, all squarebodies wiper switches supply a ground to the motor for the speed you want it to run. Check your wiring diagram. My motor has 3 plugs on it. Way top is the Park Terminals, next lower is Washer...- grummy

Delay Wiper Module
With every car/truck I have ever had, I kind of disliked the delay. Especially the ones that make another swipe when turned off. And, I was always adjusting it... never right.... So, on my truck, I simply have a N.O. momentary push button in a small housing right under the turn signal switch...- grummy
