    Gov loc differential???

G80 functions like an open diff until 100rpm delta between axles. Then locks. Supposed to unlock at approx 20 mph. They are not high speed burnout devices because of the 20 mph limit. This is how people destroy them. They are for low speed use. They can be modified to defeat to 20 mph limit...

What kind of lift kit would you recommend

If you want to keep the sway bar, or add it back later for any reason either ORD or DIY4x make end links for them. This would allow the axle to move through its arc without the rigid mounted sway bar interfering. I’ve looked at them but honestly haven’t once felt like I needed a sway bar.

    Wiper motor always on.

Any update on the reworked delay module? Also, how’s the new switch? I’ve been tempted to get one but worry about quality as I’ve heard they kinda suck. My switch works, but occasionally has trouble differentiating between off and delay.

What new tools have you got lately?

Man, I didn’t get a nice case or lasers. I’ve used mine to setup several pinion angles and drive lines. My K5 will do 90mph down the highway without the center console spilling my beer.

What kind of lift kit would you recommend

I started with a Rough Country lift and stock everything else. 35” tires on 20x10 -24 wheels. Rough Ride, kinda sucked. Removing sway bar completely helped. So much that I scrapped it and all the hardware associated. Rode like that for a few years. Dropped tire pressure down to 30psi...

    A/C System Leaks

I know this is an old thread but I’d like to add my $.02 To help located leaks, on a flat system that you will be pulling a vacuum on later anyway, I’ll hook up my air compressor to it and “charge” the system with 60-90 psi of air. Then go around with snoop or soapy water. Also, service...

What new tools have you got lately?

This one. It would be nice to have a smaller version to fit in tight spots. I do like the fact that Amazon also has additional spindles in various sizes if you need others, or loan it out and the snap you 10-24 off.

What new tools have you got lately?

Oh, I just got a Buck 112 Ranger with a sheath. I think it’s actually the first pocket knife I’ve ever bought for myself. The sheath helps keep the inside of my pocket clean from greasy hands and the larger sized knife doesn’t dig into my junk. I haven’t tried wearing the Buck and 9mm at...

What new tools have you got lately?

Digital level (cheap from Amazon, and great for pinion angles and alignments.) Rivnut tool and assortment of hardware. Astro brand, Amazon. You don’t know how handy these things are until you have one.

What have you done to your square lately??

Added a 2nd battery. Went back a few days later and swapped out the junction block on the firewall with a proper terminal block. Now I only have 1 battery cable going down to the starter.

How To Build Custom Door Panels

Best DIY spray liner for a long bed

I used Monstaliner on the Topper of my K5 Blazer. I can’t speak for durability, but it looked like new the day I sold it after sitting in the sun for a few years.

Melted wires everywhere… need some help

I’d check voltage at the battery and the junction block in the firewall. Other than the starter, everything else should be fed from the junction block

2008 Yukon 3rd row seat as a back seat. Made mounts so it sits down on the floor, and flips up like it should. 2000 Camaro Power buckets. Made mounts it raise them up and use the factory bolt holes. 80 something Corvette master cylinder to go with the rear disc brakes. Fit my hydroboost. 97...

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, not mine but a buddy dropped his K5 off for me to work on. Harmonic balancer outer ring slipped, and walked back into the timing cover. I did oil pan gasket, timing cover gaskets and seal, new water neck, used balancer, timing adjustment, carb adjustment and some general cleaning for him...

Melted wires everywhere… need some help

Luckily that wire is fairly short. Junction, to relay, to fan. I’m guessing 40-50amps? I haven’t seen a rating on those fans as far as watts or amps.
