Welcome! My leak was behind the controls. There's a rubber "manifold" that internally fell apart and wouldn't align the doors properly. Was a right pain to track one down for replacement.- Soundmound

LMC Dash Pad Supplier
I bought one from LMC last winter. It was dashes direct supplied and might have a similar corner issue. I just test fitted it before everything got shelved so I can't say for sure.- Soundmound

I repaired the rear defrost by plugging it back in on both sides. Detailer must have pulled them off? I threw in a set of weather tech mats all around and swapped the stereo. Luckily the converter box was already installed by the PO, though the chime is busted and waiting for me to swap it out...- Soundmound

Yeah, now that its been said i can't unsee it, lol. I've been both styles of moulding I'm pretty sure. Mine is an LS with all the power options including steering controls, manual dual zone climate, but no bose, leather or center console. Well I never noticed, but can't unsee it now that you said something. I assume original, but you are right that they look different compared to Huck's Z71. Either way they're probably coming off. I want to wrap it to look like the '84 eventually.- Soundmound

Next was a full maintenance and inspection. Front end needed a new tie rod on the passenger side, but the feller had put all new brakes on it for me! How nice of him. Luckily this rig had a spotless interior. I can attribute that to papaw and the obvious deep clean it had. This thing smelled straight from the detailers and a little musty too. It was labeled bio hazard at the auction, but the pics showed clothes and food only, no bodily fluids, maybe a touch...- Soundmound

@Grit dog They are not. Had to get tires for the Pilot on the Discount Card a few weeks ago and just paid it off. I'll probably wait until I get to SC anyway. We just got married this weekend and are trying to pay it off before we buy a house. Luckily, I think we spent less than $5k on the soirée.- Soundmound

Assuming your plastics are good it's a teardown, clean, dye, reassemble process. My webbing was good so it was cleaned and dyed. Mechanical parts were cleaned and lubed. Plastics cleaned and dyed. Polished buckles and NOS buttons. She did have to trim one one the seat buckle covers to clean it...- Soundmound
