2 vs 3 v- groove power steering pulley

Yes on puller, used PB and even torch. Tore the lip, once it started, no hope, but I tried. Yes! Rockauto has. Pump was a 12541, but Lares didn't show a pulley on their website. But there it be on Rockauto. Called them just to verify. #159 They are very (Lares) helpful. Thanks for your...

2 vs 3 v- groove power steering pulley

So the '87 3/4 ton, 454 has a 3-groove power steering pulley. NOT coming off. Will a 2-groove for the saginaw work and line up? The back v-grooves are approx 5.75" diameter. BThis truck was not using the front smaller v-groove 5.125 diameter? Press on, remote reservoir, new one on the way...

    RockAuto

Not certain where to post... I noticed Rockauto has a bunch of close-out items related to our old trucks i.e. belts etc. It seems worth checking out. Mod post wherever appropriate.

    '88 TBI Build

The last time I fully rebuilt an engine I was 15-16. I have worked on alot on stuff through the years to save money and keep it running like my burb though. When I was replacing ball joints, my retired neighbor mechanic encouraged me when I was ready to give up. You do learn as you go. "Ah...

    A/C Question

It will definitely be easiest to go to the Sanden route if compressor needs to be replaced. Our 87 had a HR6 factory replacement (slightly shorty than A6) and the stock brackets that fit. All after market bracket stuff is made for the Sanden types.

That current cross reference is discontinued now as well. Can't find any current cross reference. You got anything? A piece of leather, old shoe that would fit?

Did you put on dual cats as well before mufflers? I'm wondering if we could just do dual cats and no mufflers with 2.5" pipe. :)

You are being too serious, I'm only making a joke. I would NOT actually flip someone off or try to be obnoxious. Nor am I criticizing you, I am WITH you. Problem with texting and my sense of humor is it can be misconstrued. Not the 1st time I've stepped on toes here. Seriously, apologies...

Mark IV, but said to be 90-91 block

454, 1987, lower oil dipstick Bolt

Yes, casting says it's a special over the counter replacement block. The serial # should start with CE, not TE, but no definitive info...thus I'll send a $50 email to satisfy my curiosity, maybe.

454, 1987, lower oil dipstick Bolt

Yes, this one has the upper portion mt to exhaust stud like that also. It's fine without the lower mt. Just got me curious. See my post 7 & 8 if you want. We'll move on without. I also saw a 90-91 I think that had the knock sensor there. Our 87 doesn't use one. I've been meaning to...

454, 1987, lower oil dipstick Bolt

Interesting, I sure appreciate your info. But this is definitely a two piece dip stick. Lower bolt or stud is huge. I also just realized :pp: this may be a replacement 1990 block based on casting and serial#. Casting is 10069286, serial#TE19XXZ0.
