Well it’s for sale, just put it on eBay, Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. Asking $5,500 or best offer. Figured I’d start it higher since I will get a lot of low ball offers.
If anyone is interested im willing to work with you on the price...
Found this 382 page service manual on eBay specifically for our motors. For $25 it looks like a great investment for the guys like me who work on their own trucks. He prints them when they sell so he has a virtually unlimited supply.

Depending on your year, RockAuto has exhaust parts for dirt cheap, they are pre-bent direct replacements for the 6.2. Mine is an 86 and this is what they have for me. Gets you 90% of the way complete for WELL under $100 total. Just need some mufflers and maybe another small piece or two fabbed...
There are times with my 6.2 when it takes about 5+ of slow counting seconds of cranking before it actually starts. I feel like the engine actually starts faster when it’s cold than when the motor is already warm. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
There are also times when I “key on”...
I have a sound coming from my rear passenger side wheel only. Sound goes away as soon as I get over 5ish MPH.
- Happens only while “rolling” at under 5MPH.
- Sounds like a rotational metallic “clank” every time the wheel comes around mixed with a twisting spring creak kind of noise.

Yeah it’s a nice one, not too beat up. Just the right amount of character. I want a wood wheel for my 86 but this one is a 13” and I want the bigger one.

Its a Grant walnut steering wheel. Chrome has some pitting/scratching but would clean up nice with some elbow grease and chrome polish. Wood is in great shape, real solid no cracks.
Roughly 13” diameter if I remember right, and 4.5” deep.
Not sure...
I’m fine with aftermarket. I like the simple clean old school look. Something like this one below. Just didn’t know what “sizes” or specific bolt patterns work. Or if there are universal adapters.
I really want to swap mine out on my 86 C20 for a wooden one. Anyone got pics of theirs, or recommendations?
Also, how do I know what wheels will fit my steering column? Is there certain spacing or bolt patterns I need to look for?
Thanks in advance!
