Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

Attached is a corrected wiring diagram. The previous one would short circuit whenever the left tank was selected. Circuit numbers, wire colors and gauges are all based on the 1983 truck wiring manual. Circuits 53R and 54R (relay) are a larger gauge of wire which must replace the wiring...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

With some googling I came up with the attached wiring design. It looks good to me, but I'd appreciate a sanity check from y'all before I start wiring it up. My goal is to retain my dual tanks without adding any more switches in the cab. Plus the wiring design is similar to the TBI dual tank...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

This is the main reason why I am converting the fuel system now. The fuel sump.. It was great for getting the truck driving semi-reliably. But it would randomly shut off. The random shut off would be after driving for a while (30 - 45 mins) and immediately after I let off the throttle to coast...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

I'm definitely looking at Walbro, Aeromotive as well. I was leaning toward Delphi and AC Delco due to their history with GM, but my number one concern is reliability and drivability. I did look around where I live and a Dyno / ECU tune is less expensive than I thought. I may end up making an...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

Perhaps I'm confused. The injectors I have are 29 lb/hr, 58 PSI injectors. If I want to run 29 lb/hr at 43 PSI, wouldn't I need to change to injectors rated for 29 lb/hr at 43 PSI? I'll give the tech line a call for sure once they open again.

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

Right, and the fuel sump I'm using has a built in vacuum adjusted fuel pressure regulator. Part of the installation instructions are to run the sump without vacuum and ensure it's set to 58psi. Then you connect the vacuum line to one of the ports on the intake, and at idle you'll see lower...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

For clarity, this is the kit that is installed on my truck: https://www.edelbrock.com/edelbrock-pro-flo-4-efi-kit-35780-for-sb-chevy-with-vortec-e-tec-cyl-heads-35780.html It includes 29lb, 58 PSI injectors. I just noticed that according to their product page, this kit is rated for up to 450...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

No idea. I didn't build the motor and I haven't had it on a dyno. Putting it on a dyno wasn't on my to-do list for the truck. Apart from the Vortec heads and a mild cam, the motor isn't built. It runs on regular gas without detonation, so the compression is close to factory. My guess would be...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

Even if I go with the EP381, that pump is rated less than the "required" flow rate of 57 GPH per the Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 instructions. I daily drive my square, so I converted to EFI for reliability and drivability. I sometimes have to leave for work for months at a time, so I need the truck to...

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

I was actually looking at the Delphi FE0114, since it is more available. I had the same experience trying to find an EP381.

Pro Flo 4 with Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381

I have seen several posts here where people used the Delphi FE0114 or ACDelco EP381 fuel pumps with the Pro Flo 4 system for a SBC. According to the Pro Flo 4 instructions the EFI system requires a minimum flow rate of 57 GPH. However, the FE0114 is rated at 32 GPH, and the EP381 is rated at 41...

    A/C but no heat

Laqota is 100% correct. I was googling and searching, trying to figure out the OEM configuration for reconnecting my 1983 HVAC vacuum controls to the engine (a PO never reconnected it). I was thinking what good would a vacuum reservoir be if there was no check valve between it and the engine...

    Air Cleaner Fitting - PCV?

Thank you all, looks like this part is called an "Air Cleaner Deflector" and is available as new old stock: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175692996083

    Air Cleaner Fitting - PCV?

I was thinking it was some kind of return from the crankcase, because it has a baffle directly in the path of the air being returned to the air cleaner. The unknown part belongs on the driver side. The cutout in the air cleaner for this mystery part has a "D" shape. The factory PCV filter is on...

Another closer shot of the part that might be helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me identify it.

    Air Cleaner Fitting - PCV?

What is this part, and can I buy a replacement if I modify the original? It is not the PCV filter, I have that installed on the opposite side of the air cleaner and I don't use it anyway. I am installing a Pro Flo 4 system and I'm looking for a spot to put the air temp sensor. I have...

It may not be your windshield antenna.

I figured it would be the capacitors, which is why I haven't tossed it. If I get some free time I might take it apart and recap it if it's not a huge pain. The only problem is having a connector to plug in to the back of the radio for bench testing. Even then, I am more inclined to send it off...

It may not be your windshield antenna.

I'm not 100% satisfied, but it is a good radio for the application, especially given the niche market. Some things that stood out to me: It is much smaller than the original radio, making it so much easier to fit it up behind the dash. The knobs feel cheap and you have to be careful to push...

It may not be your windshield antenna.

My K10 has the windshield antenna. It also had the original Delco radio. I had nearly zero radio reception and even a cigarette lighter Bluetooth FM transmitter had a bit of static. I decided to replace the radio with a Custom Autosound USA-740, after replacing my factory speakers with...

Headlights, Radio, and Wipers work without ACC power

Thanks for the response! I spent a fair amount of this afternoon troubleshooting, disconnecting both battery terminals, disconnecting the wires from the junction block and unplugging the firewall connector, then testing continuity with a multimeter to verify I didn't somehow swap a connection...

Headlights, Radio, and Wipers work without ACC power

Issue is in the title. The information in this forum has been invaluable. From the shared factory service manual, to the wiring schematic, to the posts sharing troubleshooting experience, I wouldn't be able to get to this point without everyone's contributions. But.. I've run into an odd issue...
