    Marker Light Question…

My son is adding rooftop marker/clearance lights to his ‘79. How was the wiring for these ran? Is the windshield post hollow? Or does it go down the back corner of the cab and then up to the dash?

Not too bad of a price if they’re good quality.

What wheels came on my ‘77?

It’s a Custom Deluxe. Not highly optioned. I’m assuming steel, but wasn’t sure.

What wheels came on my ‘77?

Is there a way, either by VIN or build sheet, to determine exactly what wheels my ‘77 K10 rolled off the line with?

    16.5 Question

Ok, didn’t think so, but… The donor ‘77 we bought then later sold is a K25 by VIN and code sheet. But it has six lug axles. I assumed someone swapped the 1/2 ton gear in at some point, for whatever reason, but the guy who bought it was curious if it could be original, but an oddball.

    “Bonnie”

The old girl has taught him a lot. Most importantly is patience. Also gained a lot of self confidence while working on her. I helped him a lot like my Dad helped me. I won’t do it for you, but I’ll do it with you.

    “Bonnie”

In my introduction, I referenced my son’s ‘79 K25, affectionately known as “Bonnie”. Figured I’d share a pic. 400, 4-speed, 4” on 35x12.5x18. It’s rough, but mechanically sound. He loves her! Boys…

    Cussin’ a Quadrajet!

It’s on the punch list! I’ve been going through a lot of the posts here on the forum concerning the Q-Jets. It should be manageable for my limited intellect! Lol! I think I’ve talked myself out of pitching it. For now, at least. I’m going to leave well enough alone. 1). If it works, why...

    Cussin’ a Quadrajet!

My brother is a fan of them, but he geeks out on that sort of stuff. I’ve tinkered with Edelbrocks/Webers and Motorcrafts (gasp!) a bit, but I’ve never liked monkeying around with carbs. Don’t know if it’s a lack of patience or intelligence or a bit of both. If I sit down and read a bit, it...

    Cussin’ a Quadrajet!

I mentioned in my introduction post that my new-to-me ‘77 fired up with a few pumps after an untold number of months in the tree row. This morning, I went out to start it and NO GO! Grrrr!!! Tinkered and fiddled, all the while cussing that over complicated blankety-blankin’ “Quadrajunk”...

Hello! New member here from western Nebraska. Slowly working my way through the forum. Lots of good info! My son bought a rough ‘79 K25 a couple of years ago when he was fifteen. Been helping him work on it. Very rough body, every system needs work. But it’s fun to work on it with him...
