    Vacuum line from air cleaner

I would guess it hasn't worked in longer than that. just trying to get it back to what it was when granddad brought it home. lots of memories with that truck, kinda building it in his memory

    16" wheels on 3/4 ton v20 axles?

I think these are the ones commonly called the widow makers, Firestone RH-5

    1977 K10 Beater

I have never had a problem with a 203. mine has 41 years of grain trailers, fuel tanks, and assorted other trailers on it, never been rebuilt. I admit, I imagine it is due for one, and will be getting rebuilt along with the rest of the truck. hopefully over the winter, but money will tell...

    Vacuum line from air cleaner

So, I have looked for this on the internet, and I'm either not finding it, or I'm not recognizing it when I do find it, but I need to know where the vacuum line from the air cleaner connects to on the carburetor. Its on the underside of the snorkel, and goes to one of the ports on the carb. I...

    Hubcaps?

Well, since they were optional the first few years, and nobody seems to remember hubcaps on the truck......going with no hubcaps. Save me some time and money finding the correct ones too. GMC seems to be harder to find than Chevy. Thanks for all your help. Ill probably be starting a build...

    Hubcaps?

So, if I'm reading through this correctly, hubcaps were an option on 3/4 tons.

    Hubcaps?

So, I am finally starting the restoration of the 74, and trying to get all my ducks in a row. Ran into a small snag, concerning hubcaps. Can anyone tell me if a 3/4 ton 4x4 came with hubcaps as standard equipment? I was three when grandpa bought it, so I don't remember if it ever had them...

New Shoes for the Ol Girl

Grandpa bought it new. When I moved it to my house, that's the farthest it has ever been from the farm. Pretty much all original, except for a new engine several years ago. And now the wheels.

    16.5"x12" or 16.5"x9.75" in 8x6.5

Pretty sure my brother has some 16.5x9.75 out at his place. I think they are just the stock GM wheels though

    Military axles

I built a shortbed with a D60 and 14bolt years ago. 4.56 gears, built 454 roller motor, built 700R4, and a np205. Truck ran great with 35 inch swampers. Used it for a dd for years.

Ive been looking for one of these also, have finally decided to just design and cut my own side panels and weld the round bars/pipes in myself.

    Crooked bed?

I may just be seeing things, hard to tell, but it looks to me like the trim itself is crooked/bent/drooping on the drivers side of the tailgate. Just what I think I see, idk.

1987 Utility Bed from my 87 R3500 GMC

Would love to have that trailer, but same problem here. Well, half of the same problem. No funds right now. The drive wouldn't be so bad, the wife and I need a vacation anyway. Last one we took I ended up bringing a 70 Firebird home.

    H2 wheels

yea. kind of depends on what front axle you are using too I think. I think they may fit on a 10 bolt easier than mine, but I don't know for sure. just a theory
  21. Boonie

    H2 wheels

they fit on the rear just fine. this is actually the third truck they have been on. I had them on a 94 GMC 2500, and an 08 GMC 2500. They actually go on the 08, just on here as a loan until I get my new wheels powdercoated and new tires on them.

    H2 wheels

I have a set on my 74. Look good, but they are a pretty tight fight over the front hubs on a Dana 44HD axle. Ill see if I can get a picture posted, my computer seems to have deleted a bunch of pics.

Is this cab worth trying to save?!

I agree with reaper about the sentimentality. Im torn rebuilding my grandpas 74, repair the bed or replace with another one. easier to replace, but the memories of feeding cattle with him, of my brother falling over the side and hanging by a foot.......those are all in that truck. leaning...
