    Rain-X vs Rainbrella vs?

That's kinda where I'm at right now... Storm coming in, I have someplace to go monday and tuesday, sunday is the only dry day between now and then, I have new wipers and a bad wiper arm.. New windshield and I don't want to scratch it.. So I was thinking of maybe running into town and getting...

    choosing mirrors

LMAO! I figured I was probably treading where others had gone before with this one! Beside the fact that I hate them.. and the small classy OEMs are too pricey for something that might end up being temporary... I was even thinking of maybe making some sort of small surface mount housing for...

    choosing mirrors

having a tough time with choosing the mirrors.. I was looking at these 'peep mirrors' on eBay that don't cost too much, but I'm a little concerned about the clip on means of attachment and where they would best be positioned so that I'm not looking through the window vent post or anything to...

    Filling Trim holes

What about just running the edge of a cutting disc along the valley where the two pieces meet to get the filler out? Interesting tips about using a backing material... and welding the seams is something I had not even thought of... Doubt I'll get that into it, but it's something to keep...

    Rain-X vs Rainbrella vs?

LOL.. Was hoping to only buy one of them, not become consumer reports.. :gathering:

    Rain-X vs Rainbrella vs?

Been seeing these commercials lately about a product by Rustoleum called "Rainbrella" that claims to last twice as long as Rain-X... Anyone tried it? Anyone have experience with other products and know how they compare with each other? Thanks, Mark

How screwed am I? Broken intake manifold bolt hole in head.

Is there enough metal around the hole to go to the next larger diameter bolt? If so, couldn't it just be drilled and tapped for a larger bolt, then drill out the manifold hole to suit?

    conduit?

It's thinner/cheaper, yes.. But all I needed it for is organization and rub protection.. For the ground and battery cable, I reused the OEM stuff as I had ran out of new stuff anyways and just routed them so they have a safe distance from anything that creates heat... But for me, it seems a...

    conduit?

I just used the regular plastic split loom stuff and then routed it so there is a safe distance from anything hot (brought it immediately to the frame and ran it up along that)..... Harbor freight has the stuff super cheap ($3 for 10') in 1/4", 3/8". and 1/2" (I linked it below) Bigger stuff...

    Seat cover woes...

I drove the truck down into the valley to get a new windshield (and found out one of my wiper arms is broken, so I still can't drive in the rain till I get a new one), went to an alignment shop to give me an assessment on my front suspension/linkage (looks like I need to be thinking about new...

    Seat cover woes...

I went and looked at them on line, and I even found the brand, but all they showed were for bucket seats.. Nothing for bench seats.. I have to look again and see if I somehow missed something but I don't think I did...

Is this any particular time of year that they sell them?

    Installing hood release

Yeah, I want it to be so that the only thing they can do my truck is disassemble it on the spot or tow it.. They're not gonna drive it away... Bastiges!!!

    Hood Spring(s), Hood, or???

Anything is possible.. But I may not get to replacing the clip for a while, and I want to secure the vehicle itself ASAP.. Crime is really getting out of control down in the valley, and that's where I have to go to get all the stuff people need to live.. ;)

    Installing hood release

That's the kind of stuff I like... I've already prewired for 'three' different electrical system 'hidden switches' so that the starter circuit, ignition circuit and eventually the fuel pump circuit are disabled unless you 'know' where and how...

    Filling Trim holes

Okay great.. That's how I 'want' to o it anyways, I just wasn't sure if it required any special skills or whatever, seeing as heat can cause things to warp/shrink/expand.. But that's true, I can always just grind it all down...

    Hood Spring(s), Hood, or???

Mine came creased... So that train already left the station.. But I do want it to close all the way in the back... I bought some stiffeners, but I don't think I'll bother installing them and instead wait for when I replace the front body pieces, and put them on the new one... I plan to buy...

    Seat cover woes...

I don't know if I just got a bad one or what... I mean this thing fits so bad, I have no idea what seat it was intended for (maybe and old datsun??? lol) But I'll take a picture of the box (and the thing installed) when I get a chance and post it...

    Seat cover woes...

I 'LIKE' that! I plan to paint my truck flat or eggshell dark grey, and have a dark dark blood red pinstripe down the crease along the body.. Ideally, I'll eventually get black seats with red stitching that matches the pinstripe (will have the same color as accents in the wheels and also the...

    Intellitronix digital dash

I just went out and calibrated it.. It was off by about 10%.. That could easily be the difference of that little add on adapter calibration box I took off of the speedo port of the tranny when I installed the sending unit... I loaded a GPS speedometer app on my cell phone to check cal and...

    Intellitronix digital dash

It was a one ton 454 with a 12 bolt, if that makes any difference.. haven't checked the calibration on it yet either, and I also removed the little 'calibration box' from the speedo output, so who knows what everything is really at... Will calibrate it soon.. Gotta find a nice exact one mile...
