    It may sound crazy but... I have welded another bolt on the threaded end of the stud, threads to threads, and used a wrench to hold the stud during the adjustments. Afterwards you cut the added piece off. You can do this and remove the a-frame so the tack can be done from the outside.

    Welcome to the site. The picture you posted doesn't show what this plugs into, is it a relay? Most of the time a black with a white stripe is a control or refernce ground for a ECM device, but not always.

    Check your rubber hoses at the top of the tank and also at the tank selector switch. If they split or have holes it will do the same thing.

    It picked up a minor vibration and has a soft 2-3 shift. It happened right after a hard launch, so I am pretty sure the torque converter or pump is hurt.

    I have already abused this 350C and it ain't liking it. lol It is starting to give me trouble so I started looking and had a 4L60 offered to me and wanted to find out if it was worth the headache. I can live without the overdrive. that is why it has two tanks, for trips!

    I was thinking the same thing. If there is a restriction it won't last long, none of the old compressors had a pressure relief but some of the remans do.

    I appreciate the advice. Maybe I will start looking for a TH 350 or 400 to rebuild. I have never had a 4L60E with much horsepower in front of it and did not know if it would handle much.

    I am looking to swap out the current 350C tranny for something a bit stronger and was considering an overdrive like the 4L60E. Has anybody done this? It is for my 86 C10 with the new engine. The final drive is 3.08.
