    i use to have 01 frontier and the engine was a turd that 2.4 gave me more trouble than it was worth and the fuel economy was no better than my full size 96 chevy. I will look into the kia's since people have been saying the direct injection is problematic.

    I usually get 5 days out of my square driving it to work and back it has a 16 gallon tank it is a bone 350 2bbl with a th350. round trip to and from work is around 40 miles.

    AR500 plating outside the body panels, bullet proof glass, and run flat tires is a start.

    It is better use spacers to give clearance for spring travel when hauling heavy loads instead of mounting directly to the frame. I had a one ton with the flat bed and even with the springs maxed out the bottom of the bed was about 6 inches away from the tire.

    I got the rural king group 78 top and side post battery in my rigs. 49 out the door and they work just fine.

    I get 4-5 years from the cheap batteries i wouldn't waste the money on some fancy battery that cost 150+ The battery in my daily is square is around 3-5 years old and they cost 49 with core.

    Here is some useful knowledge Blue stripe bosch plug = made in china green strip bosch plug = made in germany I use NGK v power in my square and daily driver the made in china ac delco plugs don't seem as good as plugs of old.

    keep an eye on the head gasket and timing gears in that iron duke that is the weak points on it. TBI throttle shaft wear is not uncommon as well.

    I use a Alemite F100 pneumatic grease gun with a extended length hose. It is the best on the market.
