I want to drive an '89 suburban 700 miles home, what should I know?
wow !!! id love to do that one day . id advise to only drive in the day , broken down in the pitch dark with other drivers falling asleep or on their phone . every single old vehicle ive bought in the last 35 years has never ever had a decent aired up tire with it so think about that . owner...- tater dog

Looking for a decent bench seat cover that doesn't break the bank...

Put the finishing touches to the interior in the cargo area . Truck was bone stock with just a torn rubber mat . Got most of this free and dyed it all blue . -

I actually daily all 3 but use the 18 GMC if I have to go a distance as it’s the only one with cruise and overdrive. The Mrs will only ride in that too as she doesn’t like my old rides- tater dog

Interior Trim Guidance
i would get used from a donor truck that way you know they'll fit right . . tricky part is lining up where to drill your holes for the trim screws . shouldn't be as bad in your single cab but id get a buddy to help hold up the trim and headliner while you line it all up . -

agree its pretty straight forward . better if to have a decent headliner board to start with which i certainly did not . plus the two pieces are much longer and working on your own was a little tricky . this was my first but would do another one no problem -

Just so y’all know I ordered my carpet from ACC . Fit was ok but the foot pad piece on the drivers side was crooked . I couldn’t move the carpet around enough to make it straight because then the molded parts wouldn’t line up . It’s off quite a bit which is bad considering the price . Can’t... -

nothing wrong with cutting with what ever you have but obviously do a small test piece first before you commit to cutting a piece to the exact size you need . yes just used my hands to and a clean rag to slide my hand along the trim pressing hard yes the corners are tricky as they are not... -

Just a pair of cutters like these . Make sure you keep it in a straight line along the side of the blade , tried to show what I mean . One piece of tape along side of vehicle starting from just under the tail light and to top of fender marker light . This is the factory position for 81-87 burns... -

Lining the tape up straight took a good chunk of the time to do this . Scary cutting the pieces but made sure I measured 26 times and cut once . so can someone clear this up for me ? . i want to replace dash lights with LED's . this is the factory bulb and holder i took out . do i need a T5 or T10 size socket as a replacement .
