Well, 4 months later and all I have accomplished is getting the old motor to move enough to get the window in the up position. With winter coming on that is major because I have been using a garbage bag to cover the window opening.
I have a new motor and a new switch and I used the new...
I just helped my Mother buy this to replace her 94 LeSabre,
2015 Regal Turbo. At 87, she is the fastest greatgrandma in her Sunday School class.
Her 94 has 99,8XX miles and I thought she would want to keep it for bad weather runs to town ect but she let me know she is...
Baby got some new shoes
Been running Z06 wheels on my Corvette for a few years and while I like their light weight I wanted a little more bling.
Going from this
To these
18x10's and 18x11 for the rear
They came with some 305-35-18 M/T drag radials
They are billet...
Drivers side window is down and won't come back up. I have power to switch and test light does what it supposed to do when moving switch up and down. I have also tried using a jumper wire at the switch with no success. Window motor has been moving extremely slow as of late and I was even using...
Wifey's first new car is 20 years. She got a 95 Impala SS when she started her teaching career and now 200,000 miles later it was time for a new ride. She got to pick pretty much everything this go around and after an 800 mile trip I think she did good.
I was at the pick-a-part today looking for an instrument cluster and they had a Sub but the cluster was gone. As I recall the wiring was still there. Not sure how much work it would be to remove as I've never tried for a dash harness.
Well, she's running again. I had to completely disassemble the opti-spark as oil had made it's way into the optical sensor area. I caught it in time, just cleaned all the parts and reassembled. No water pump leaks either! Still more to do but it can now be driven some while repairs continue.
What a pain in the ass, the LT1 water pump replacement always makes me think I have to replace drive seal and opti-spark seal. Now I find I'm missing some o rings I need for the opti drive. It's been about 10 years since I had to dig in this far and I forgot some of the small items you need to...
That was $350.00 for used! No more new ones from GM. Passenger side and rear panels are much cheaper. Prices for any SS specific parts are high for two reasons, not all that many made in the first place and a lot of Caprice clones out there shrinking the supply.
The reason I was looking...
Holley LS Fest this weekend in Bowling Green Kentucky. A great weekend of drag racing, autocross, swap meet, car and truck show. Anything goes but it must have a LS series engine. I'll be there Saturday for sure.
Well the square is holding it's own for now so the SS is in line for some TLC.
This is my one owner 95 SS that I bought new in July of 1995. It's well past 199k miles now and I'm slowly trying to take care of some issues that have mounted up over time. Right now I have all the door...
Well I did it. Buddy of mine was making some changes to his car and I was able to score some great parts.
I'm sure most of you guys know that Corvettes since 1984 have used a transverse composite leaf spring front and rear. From a ride and handling standpoint the...
Some body spent some serious coin on that interior and the 6 speed conversion! I thought about the 6 speed but didn't ever have the extra money for it. Now I would love to do a 5 or 6 speed auto trans conversion with paddle shifters. That will probably never happen either. Too many toys too...
I loved them as soon as they came out. I don't drive mine much any more, although the wife does. I did happen to drive it into town on an errand today though and it brought a smile to my face again. Only thing I have done to the car was a set of custom made long tube TriY headers and smog and...
