I'll look at the castings and make sure. So to go to carburetor do I still need a different intake manifold? I was hoping to go with efi but it'll have to wait.

I was thinking this. But I want it more of a navy battleship kinda bluish gray. Maybe even lighter blue.

Donor 350 is stripped down, cleaned, ready for paint. I'm thinking machine gray for the block not sure about the valve covers.

    Air pressure offroad

I have 35x14.5R17 tires on 8" wide wheels. usually go down to about 10lbs and haven't worried about breaking a bead. that being said before when I was on 32s and much less wider tire I would only go down to about 15-17 psi.

That one was giving me trouble. Ended up using a wobble and extensions. The top right I unbolted the trans and lifted it up to tilt the engine forward. Open end wrench was rounding the bolt off, couldn't fit a 1/4 ratchet, 3/8s barely fit and took all my finger strength to break it loose. But...

It did rotate. Started with no spark, to dizzy not dizzying, to broken cam shaft when I pulled the valve cover and only cylinder 1 rockers were moving. Should have just said screw it at that point and pulled it then.

The shittiest part is if I had seen this I wouldn't have bothered tearing apart the front end. Would have just pulled it out as completely as I could. Here's the broken cam

If I bite the bullet and go with the efi, then yes. Will find out sometime tomorrow on what the plan is.

Started to tear apart the front end apart to pull out the old 5.7L. Going to be swapping in a 96 engine, carbing that engine and eventually going to FiTech or similar. Any ways, here are some pics.

Yea typically I get hit with the Commifornia, flat lander, yuppie stuff. Its definitely home, and living in this area is way nicer then down south. A lot better opportunities for work and such. Mostly still here so I can be close to the parents.

Hm. No tow hooks that I can see. Dont really want to pull from the axle. Might end up doing the engine swap where it sits.
