Source For NOS Switch?
I did the same thing with my reverse light switch on my 1981 C10 three on the tree.... would only work in certain positions of the shifter. Couldn’t find a new one anywhere. Took it apart and cleaned and regressed with die electric grease, been working great.- 16927

Ok so I’m in the process of replacing the heater core on my 1891 c10 with out air. Got the original out and ordered one from a major vender and when it gets here it’s junk..... not the right size and shape to fit in to the housing..... it’s shorter, narrower (air will bypass around it) and...- 16927

Not sure where they are coming from.... I hear China and the Philippines.... I hear they are making new fleet side bed panels now too. I had a body guy tell me today that with repro sheet metal the color of the primer means everything..... if it’s flat black it’s junk... if it’s shiny black...- 16927

Temp gauge posts? Which is which?
I had a similar issue with my temp gauge but it would go to hot when the key was turned on. Checked the sender wire for grounds, tried to pull wire off sender with key on tried another gauge, still no joy, so I spent some quality time with the wiring diagram and found that there were two sender...- 16927

Rear window clarification
I’m not trying to hijack this thread but my 1981 has a factory slider (says so on the glove box sticker) what do you mean the factory seal is no longer available? I was going to take mine out to repaint the cab. Do I have to now rethink my plan? If I had a windshield guy come remove the slider...- 16927

Blower switch help
I’m trying to see if my fan switch is working properly. This is a non ac, heat only 1981 C10 truck. Turn on fan and nothing, fuse is good, jumped fan motor to battery and it ran but there was a thumping sound. Took fan motor off and found the mother of all mouse nests. Can anyone tell me what is the correct thermostat for my 1981 c10 with a 6cylinder? I haven’t taken the old one out yet but this was dads truck and he used to run cold stats or no stat at all then complain about the lack of heat in the winter any recommendations??
