Old timers will say to use white lithium grease but I could never see it getting to the center of the cable cover.

Both of those cams will sound similar to the Edelbrock Performer. very mild, very slight idle depending on displacement, compression ratio, headers or manifolds, etc.

I believe I have a 50lb bucket of aluminum oxide in a medical grade "ultra fine" that we used for refurbishing some stainless steel devices. I did a great job on my ancient BBC M/T valve covers. Almost made them shiny!
