I want some west coast mirrors and brackets for my new to me truck. I want the specific brackets to fit the doors not something that can be cobbled up to fit. Actual mirrors aren’t as important but would like a complete set of possible. Ben -

I’ve got the mount and overhead console to put in my ‘87 suburban. Does anyone happen to have a picture or the headliner with console removed? What have you done to your square lately??
Yes it is and I’m sure it’s stuck. Just going through the whole system so it cools the best it possibly can. The kids are spoiled and used to my wife’s minivan that has separate vents for each seat and cools great. -

Ok so the 1 ton is an 84 with th400 and 205. Donor 465 is from an 86 with the 208. So if I read that right it should? Fit? Ben- Itali83

Ok, I’m looking at buying a 1 ton dually with a 350ci motor. It has a th400 with no reverse in it so needs a rebuild. I’d rather have a 4 speed being a dump truck and wanting a manual pto. I’ve found a complete sm465 trans, bell housing, shifter, pedals flywheel etc out of a 1/2 ton np208 truck...- Itali83

Ticking sound from distributor...?
It’s the rotor hitting the cap. I got a new rotor and cap for my plow truck a couple years ago from Napa. Truck ran fine, just wanted to do a tube up. Put new cap and rotor on it, very loud ticking from dist. Took cap off and saw where rotor was hitting cap by each plug wire terminal. it was...- Itali83

Harmonic Balancer - super weird (at least to me)
If you put new transfer case mount and have old hagged out motor mounts, it’s going to sit high in the rear and low in the front. Letting balancer touch crossmember. Putting new motor mounts will lift motor up in the front where it should be and gain you the clearance again. Not sure changing...- Itali83

Thank you. Sadly the 88’s don’t have shoulder belts. 89-91 only. You California guys have no idea how lucky you are to not have rust. That makes me sick seeing that in a junkyard. ben. -

mice found some on eBay. And of course just after I finally settled on a red set,( my interior is gray) and bought them. The same seller which is a junkyard in Florida puts up a gray set. WTF!? They’re not selling the female latch which I need to figure out because the lap belts have the female... -

What is “too hot” temp wise? My temp sensor is in the line directly out of the trans so my theory is it’s the hottest point the oil is in the system. I put 400 hard highway miles on the old girl yesterday. Not towing but it was 90 out, I was running 80mph+ and had a steady 200 degree. Towards...- Itali83

Don’t forget about making sure converter lock up is working. If that isn’t working, which I bet it isn’t since that’s the first thing everyone does when the monkey with these trucks is throw away all the digical “garbage” under the hood in the trash which includes the vacuum switch for lockup...- Itali83
