Electric fuel pump suggestions - For Carburetor
I replaced my mechanical pump with the edelbrock 17303 and have atleast 1000 miles since install. I’m not running a regulator. No problems driving. No problems supplying fuel low or high rpm. Ran the tank dry twice n pump still works no problem...- Lu Blunt

How Fast Can A Squarebody Go?
I daily drive my 79’ k30 crewcab dually. Has stock 350/sm465/205 with 4.10 and 235/85. Old dually will do every bit of 90mph at 4000rpm. Closer to 100mph on the down hills. ORD said the crossover kit should not increase steering effort. They also said I should be ok with how the plates are welded. Not sure why they welded the plates like that. I see the instructions from ORD say to DO NOT WELD THE ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE so you are correct. Shop was recommended by off road design. Even with the front wheels off the ground the steering wheel takes more effort than before to turn. I bled the power steering but that didn’t seem to help. I’ll have to wait till Monday to call hcp4x4. Anybody experience increased steering effort after switching to crossover steering?- Lu Blunt

It’s depends on the GVWR. Ran a hose from the fuel pump to a gas can and cranked n cranked n cranked then it finally started and drove the short trip home. I’ll inspect the fuel line to the tank and check the fuel pick up in the tank. Been planning a big block swap with an efi tank maybe it’s the time to start- Lu Blunt
