What have you done to your square lately??

I had a '72 K5 years back that had a side-cover 4-speed & Dana T-case with no low range. Never seen another. I did have an '82 K10 with the OD 833 but it's long gone. I have a 2WD version of the 833 still tho. The shifter is laying in my K2500HD now... HS

What have you done to your square lately??

NP203...yuck! Run it if it's all you have tho. I've got a couple TH350/NP203 around the farm but much rather have an NP205. It's tough finding all the stuff for conversion too for TH400. I've got one of the TH400/NP203 combos out in the bushes somewhere. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

When I did an intro to this site I asked about the K30 conversion. I now have all the parts to do this. SM465/NP205 bolt yoke, Dana 60 or 10 bolt front & 14FF rear.

What have you done to your square lately??

It felt like a ratchet strap constricting around my left arm. The surgeon (cardiologist) asked me a few times to let it rest while performing the stint procedure. Most folks are not conscious during this I learned. I must have been most aggravating as I asked questions during the procedure.

What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks. It happened so fast but I knew it was a different feeling. That "timer" in my head was the worst tho. It clicked off as soon as I realized "I'm having a heart attack"! HS

What have you done to your square lately??

The cardiologist said the same. I know my 50 year old body tho! I've used & worked this thing literally my whole life. I knew when that HA was happening that something was different. Aches & pains from heavy lifting & working were definitely different than the pain causes by that HA! It made my...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, hadn't talked about it alot. 100% blockage on one artery will take you down. I'm fortunate that I realized a couple minutes after I stopped pushing the mower what was happening. An ER trip & chopper ride to Cape Fear Fayetteville had me straightened out. Cardiologist said no damage on the...

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, I've not done alot since having a heart attack on 5-1-23. I have been building my strength back the last few months & now I'm getting back into the shop. I've pulled two engines & going to replace one in the Big 10 this evening or in the morning. I really hate cannibalism but when you have...

    Advice please

Welcome to the site from muggy NC. My advice is to put the C10 on FBMP & be swinging for the fences! With all the cash you make on the sell you'll be able to fix up the K5. You'll never regret it. HS

    Here's a dare for you NP205 connoisseurs...

I meant an issue between us, as people. I get the mechanical issue & that's why I mentioned the thrust washer on the front output. 1/8th inch play is an awful lot. I know the bearing has a groove for the lock ring so it won't go but so far. Is this a fixed or slip rear output NP205?

    Here's a dare for you NP205 connoisseurs...

NP & not an issue. We'll joke some but we're not fighting. I've had an NP205 that the thrust washer was missing from the front output & caused severe leaks & play, but none on the rear.

Those helical gears are the reason we all that NP205. Is there a lower gearset offered for them still in the aftermarket? HS

    Here's a dare for you NP205 connoisseurs...

I've had some 205"s that would rattle the shifter pretty good. I've put handlebar pads around them to help. The loudest one was in an 80 SB with 8" lift. Drive shaft was too short & had slip yoke pulled out of tail housing I still wheeled the crap out of it! HS

    Deleting the Catalytic Converter

With all the Tamper Laws & Federal Mandates associated with converters, I wouldn't post ANY intention or mention of what plans I had for it. ICE engines ran for close to 100 years without them...so... Strickland

    1977 Chevy Camaro - $2,800 (Lake Elsinore)

It’s a Type LT with tilt wheel, AC and Rallye Gauges. It needs some body panels on both sides but looks to be a viable enough candidate for a fixer upper.
