    GMC Grill

One of my former students found an NOS grille still in the GM box. It was posted on FBMP for Greensboro/Winston-Salem area. He picked it up cheap and it's in great shape. Guess what he doesn't have...an '83-'84 GMC truck! The lil twerp knows they're hard to come by and I'm certain that he'll try...

K20 frame with K10 axles? any problems here?

The 10 & 20 frames are alike as far as I know. The 30 is definitely different. HS

Has anyone shifted vent & climate down & radio on top?

Back when I hit the trails several times a year, I installed a blower from an aftermarket unit in the radio hole. I'd hit the toggle switch & get a blast of air right up my shorts & on the jewels! That was very refreshing when back in the hills/trails with no breeze & NC humidity. HS

Need quick reliable answer please- ‘83 K20 front axle question

I've got a couple of those 10 bolt 8 luggers. Dana 44 HD's have larger wheel bearings & obviously we all love Dana 60's but the 14FF in your prospective truck is a jewel. Does it have a manual or auto trans? HS

'73-87 Flat Bed from OEM Fleetside floor?

I used a CUCV floor for the homemade stepside bed on my 55 2nd Series. Flatties do ride higher than a conventional bed but when doing a rat I say build it how you want.

    New, in South Central Arkansas

Welcome from smack-dab-in-the-middle of NC. Arkansas is one of the few states that I have missed in my travels. It's on my list of places to go. I hear there's beer in Texarkana... HS

    Transfer case

If they are weaker then I have never found the Kryptonite to kill them. I have one that I have absolutely punished with a heavy right foot, 6K plus RPM clutch dumps, 40 inch tires and total chaos. I have not been able to destroy one yet. Now, 10 bolt differentials are a completely different...

    Goodyear Military sand Performance?

I'm late to the party, I know. Those OZ's are great for pavement pounding and general purpose use. I have ran them for about 30 years now. They are not a TSL and definitely not a Bogger; these are obviously much better in the mud. As for sand, I have been on the coast several times with them...

Cant find anything about keeping M1008 rear payload + shackle flip= front spring size

Hello and welcome to the site. I've had a couple of the CUCV trucks and lifted them with a 4" front spring on rear block set up only. The rear proportion valve still functioned with this setup. I have not used a shackle flip setup as of yet but I have seen many used on the trail. @BKING33...

That's off the BRP over near the TN border, seems like 221/226 or 19 runs through there. I vacationed quite a bit there a couple decades ago. That's a nice spot to bed down. HS

That's a great looking truck, I especially LOVE those wheels and tires. It appears the rear shackle on the front has been replaced as well as the springs and the factory style steering/draglink to the steering. I have all the factory style stuff if you don't find anyone local to help. HS

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

I replaced a 5.4 a few years back. It was very aggravating getting the torque converter, bellhousing, exhaust pipes & engine mounts all lined up. I'm glad I don't do them often. HS

Chevy Replacement Grill with 350 emblem option

The 79-80 trucks need some specific info. They do have the additional body line in the hood face & have the headlamp surround the park lamp too. The Silverado or High Sierra get the rectangle headlamp in 80. Unique for that one year. Here is my 80 Sierra with round headlamp.

Chevy Replacement Grill with 350 emblem option

Yeah, the bottom grille is 73-74 & the top is 75-76. They are both the deep style grille. Chevy started with the more shallow grille in 76 like the one I posted. HS
