GM 4200 I6 swap?
Maybe I should have stated the question as "why GM didn't". Yes, the Atlas are defunct I believe and have been replaced with the 4-banger. I did a 10 hour class on those a couple years back and was surprised how the camshaft lobes slide to deactivate cylinders instead of how AFM previously...- Strick

I just bought a John Deere tractor!
Hello folks! I just bought my pa-in-laws JD tractor. It's a 46 H model as far as I can tell. Before he passed away he gave it to my brother-in-law which in turn cannot use or care for it...so me & the wife bought it from him! Y'all tell me something about it please.- Strick

I'm not a GM engineer but have wondered WHY the Atlas 6 hasn't made it's way to the Silverado platform. They make great power & get 300K plus miles in service when maintenance. HS- Strick

They ain't worth a nickel on pavement but OH! the smiles they bring when you're bouncing the needle on the rev-limiter and chewing the goo with them. I'm ready to get healthy enough to go out and play with the kids again and "send em" as the youngins say! HS -

Oh boy...my SIL just sold his 85 K10! Dana60/14FF/454/SM465-NP205. We counted the cabbage & we both wiped a tear from our eye as the taillights disappeared. He made a very substantial profit & gifted me with the 38 SS Boggers from it! -
Square body?....well, sort of
I have an OHC Sprint 6 that I'd love to have a 66-69 Poncho body to put it in. That truck has half of one...the nose. I'm with @Shorty81: no bumper, shortbed and no functional tailgate=no truck. HS -
