What have you done to your square lately??

I did a couple things to it. One I am not exactly proud of but it's only temporary. I installed a saddle blanket seat cover. It actually matches pretty well. I am ashamed to admit that I like it. I always figured that these things were for rednecks that were too broke to have their seat...

Does anyone make 17" aluminum 4x4 Rally wheels?

sorry, been busy. Those are the factory Rally Wheels for a 1/2 ton 4wd. Someone else may know better than me but I think they are 15x8. The tires are 33x12.50. I try to share what I did to my truck without telling other folks "You MUST do the same thing I did!" I wanted this truck to look...

Does anyone make 17" aluminum 4x4 Rally wheels?

They are not made in aluminum. The rally wheels were steel, painted silver with a stainless trim ring and chrome center caps. Anything aluminum would not have the trim ring. This is a factory rally wheel:

Biggest jobs you have completed in the shortest amount of time.

I sure hope you mean transmission... But either way it's okay. We don't judge or kink shame here!

My wife is small and is pregnant

Thank you! No Sir, the bolts should not have any effect on rust IF the rust is just light surface rust and IF you take decent care of the metal. What you see on my truck is really light and is due to the original owner driving on gravel roads. I hope to be able to paint The '87 in the next...

My wife is small and is pregnant

A set of steps is about the easiest way to go. I added these for those folks that seemed to struggle climbing into The '87.

    Truck pulls to the right.

My bet would be a bad caliper. Getting quality replacement parts these days is a hit and miss proposition. When I replaced my front calipers I returned 2 left side calipers before I got one that worked properly.

    New Roads Car Show 2024

@idahovette and @bucket I forgot to post this one. I think this one is a little older than the Impalas you guys like but it was still a fantastic car.

    Exhaust question

Any decent muffler/exhaust shop should be able to do pretty much anything you want. I know we are all individuals and we all like different things...but why would you want to do that? Many years ago there was a trend/fad to run large, chrome, slash tips straight out the back under the rear...

    New Roads Car Show 2024

I will not pretend to know more than either of you on this one. The Impala was so perfect that I would bet it had the original engine. I am almost positive there was nothing on the breather cover to identify it because we were looking for something to tell us what motor it had. I should...

    New Roads Car Show 2024

Okay, I went back and edited my post. Dammit... We were trying to decide what size motor was in the car. I was thinking possibly a 327. Nothing we could find on the car told us what it was, obviously it was a small block. It definitely had the 2 speed PowerGlide Transmission which they put...

    New Roads Car Show 2024

This one belonged to a very lovely lady, her husband painted the front hubs pink to make sure folks knew it was HER Blazer. They even installed pink shock boots all around.

    New Roads Car Show 2024

This '67 1966 Impala SS really captured my attention. This car was in superb condition. Still had the glass bottle of windshield washer fluid in the bracket under the hood. I know a few of you have a thing for the Impalas of the '60s, I thought about @bucket and a few others when I saw this...

    New Roads Car Show 2024

This is one of the nicer shows in the Baton Rouge "area" and I really look forward to attending. There are always some nice vehicles and the setting is nice. This year it was cloudy and overcast but there was no rain and the temp hovered around 70F for most of the day. It was kind of spread...

What have you done to your square lately??

I cleaned it up and drove it across the Mississippi River to the New Roads Car Show. This is one of the nicer shows in this area. The weather was ugly and my parking spot was awful but we still had a nice time. I will post a few pics of the show in the Events thread and probably in the I...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I think you are attacking the wrong guy here. @Blackbeard44 NEVER asked anything. This thread was started by @Nasty-LSX who had a legitimate question. There really is no reason for anyone to be mean or get upset here. @Ricko1966 I completely agree with you that anytime you add a...

Okay, the width difference is 3.1". You need 1.5" spacers. I tried to measure mine but it cannot be done without pulling the wheel off. But it is 1.5", I am sure of it. This pic was taken as part of this discussion in an older thread on this forum.

I cannot remember and I am not avoiding you... well, I am procrastinating. I hate to make our Northern Members jealous but I have been cutting grass all day. Yes, I have been on the d***ed lawn mower most of the day. Then I had to grill fish and vegetables for Mrs. Redfish's supper.

Some of that logic is based more on opinion than fact anyway. Ford had some great promotional stuff for the first year of the First Gen Bronco. They made it a point to show that the front and rear axles were EXACTLY the same...for Better Traction! There is a wonderful Ford produced video on...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

My '87 has spacers in the rear to make the wheels line up. I was going to remove them but my Dear Old Dad asked me not to do so. He told me that was something that had always bothered him about his '77 GMC and Mom's '84 Blazer. He apparently hated it more than I realized. It has never...

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

In the '70s (and before) I remember all brands of pickup trucks often wearing rear bumpers that were installed at the dealership. Usually these were painted instead of chrome and would have the dealership name stamped into the metal. My Dad's '77 GMC had this. Dealers were happy to install a...
