Apparently it can be done easily. I seem to remember this happening to me on dads black 86 before, but i couldnt remember the solution. Now i do. Bulbs were in wrong.

yeah, the kill switch for the distributor is what I'm thinking of doing, I just want to make it harder to find than a simple push button on or right under the dash. Any good thief that is the first thing they look for
I'm thinking of mounting a key switch somewhere in the truck, I havent decided yet, but basically one side would be to ground, and the other to the tach. right? I'm not sure exactly where to put the wire on the tach, i hve just the regular stock distributor.

Thanks guys, i was able to move the rear bumper in 2", it has bothered me for years how far it stuck out. Also, if you cant afford new bilstien shocks, just sand and paint your ild ones, then throw some random srixkers on there lol!

Spent the better part of the weekend tapping dents out of this damn tailgate bezel, the sanding and polishing and painting etc. Looks better than it did, and will look better than the holes in the tailgate showing. Supposed to go get my truck tomorrow but with 50% shot of rain it might not...
some updates. The first picture should be off the old style license plate push intype light, over time the lenses turn yellow and break and just look bad. So I made the hole bigger and drill two other holes an added the other style that screw in and never yellow. Still have to do the other side...
the hood, tailgate, and cowl have all been wet sand and bust. They are smooth as glass. The rest of the truck looks freaking awesome, it's sitting in the booth painted. I gave the mexican buffer dude an extra 100 dollars under the table to make it as smooth as the hood when he cuts and buffs it...
I bought some stainless bolts for the lower shock mounts on the rear axle. They should look good once the headlights behind me hit them. Also bought some stainless screws for under the hood to replace the old black rusty ones. The truck is in the booth today. I will be going to look at it this...
