I don't have anything I can take a picture of, but yes, I want the flapper and the vacuum pot. I will need your E-Mail address so I can send you the funds via Pay-Pal. Thanks Mike

Assuming it was a non AC car, you have to weld the square air opening for the heater shut and cut a new one further toward the center, as the opening on AC cars is not in the same spot, or, you could cut that section out of both your firewall and the parts car's, and swap them, if you are good...

It's the flapper in the cowl with the little vacuum pot.

One more thing - I have seen retro-fit water valves available for 73 and 74 heater core. Which line should go to it if I use one?

Ok, so THAT'S what that other valve is for, and why I can't find any heater boxes with it. I guess I can ignore it for the time being, and just plug that branch line, as the flapper in the cowl is probably something that can't be added. Thanks a whole lot. Everybody who answered, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Strange. I guess those two pictures are wrong then. In that case, where does T on the line with the orange tracer go? I know the main section goes to that passenger-side air vent door, but where does the branch go to?

    Air conditioning

I am adding Air to my 73 GMC 3/4 ton, but, according to the only pictures I can find in this damn internet, I am supposed to have a Plenum Valve, that I can't find on any heater boxes in junk yards. The orange tracer line that goes to the valve in the right-side air flap has a T and a branch...

Actually, 305 is big enough to have good power. Try swapping a lower (numerically higher) geared rear end. If you have the standard for the times 2:73 and automatic, or something like that, try 3:08 or 3:36. If you have a stick, you should have at least 3:54. Bet it will take off like a jet.

Lifting engine in place with carb studs?

I suppose if your engine is light enough, you can. I wouldn't do it with a heavier engine though.

    Pcv or not to pcv?

You definitely should use one, or else you will have poor crankcase ventilation, which leads to excessive oil contamination and if it becomes acidic, corrosive damage to your main, rod, and cam bearings.

    Intake manifold not fitting flush

Double up on those gaskets, then you will have no problem, and I use soft-setting gasket cement rather than RTV.

    454+th350 strange rattle

Did you buy it new that way? 454s should be paired with a Turbo 400, not a Turbo 350. The Turbo 350 is for smaller, (under 400 cubes), engines.

Tying Saddle Tanks with a T?

I wouldn't. You would have to fill both tanks at the gas station, which would you would have to do one at a time, as the gas hose will not reach to the other side, or else when one tank runs dry, you will be "out of gas", as that empty tank will be just like having an open fuel line - no gas...

Electric motor to swap for SBC

Looks like it would be great for commercial users, who only use it for about 100 or so miles, then plug it in to recharge, but for those of us who want to drive more than that? I don't think so.

Wow. I am all for a clean environment, but this is too much.

    LS swap

You put a Turbo 350 in back of a 454? You should have used a Turbo 400.
