Alex Spring kit vortec .550 lift
I've got a new sprinkle kit for .550 max lift on vortec heads for sale. $100 plus trip. No cutting of the spring bosses, just need shims when installing. -

But I just remembered I've got vortec headss I was going to use, but I do have a set of 882 stock heads, hmmmmm lol I wouldn't need the carbs since I'm doing a basic 355 build for a daily driver, but could always trade carbs for some smaller ones I guess...Lol great now I have to rethink... -
Will an Edlebrock 2701 intake work with center bolt heads?
I had this same intake and sold it on here, it won't fit center bolt heads. There's a pic if I can find it of the difference online.- Jarhead79

Painting over stock paint?
It'll need to be sanded but not down to metal. -
Fender differences year to year?
Maybe check your upper control arms shims, maybe they have more on that side? Just a guess, but I had my upper c-arm almost fall off due to nuts backing off. -

Only reason I'm wanting to use the vortecs is that they're free, and I can get a free valve job on them and I get a decent discount on gaskets and such from my part time job. I found a local ish place that does machining and they said to bring my cracked head in for them to look at, they're... -

So I'm building a budget 355 and was given a set of vortec 062 heads. Thought life was grand, well one head had a huge crack in it. Then was given another head, looked it over, thought no cracks, but turns out I missed one in the center head bolt area. Wtf.... Still have one more chance at my... -

Over heating???
Also make sure you don't have any air in the system, that can make your motor get hot with a trapped air bubble.- Jarhead79
