    stepside fender repair?

Ok, got back with the stepside bed and got to look it over really well, nothing seems real bad except for the passenger side rear fender. Where the top of the fender bolts to tbe bedside, is there any way to repair the lip the bolts go through? I found a couple pics of other fenders for referance.

    Stepside bed score!

Ok were back with the new bed, the wood was worse than the pics showed but that was to be expected, questions I have now is how is the best way to clean up the floor supports, wire wheel and drill? And one of the bedsides needs some reinforcement up where it bolts to the bedside, anyone have any...

    Stepside bed score!

Yeah definitely! The funny thing about this bed I found is it is this dark brown primer color. I had painted the inside of my stepside bed with a dark brown wood stain and the outsides were a dark brown with metal flake. My first truck looked almost exactly like this pic except mine had a slider...

    73-87 fleetside bed

I'm hopefull it will sell around here quickly, I've seen worse sell for what I'm asking, it needs a good blocking and a little finesse on the bedsides but really lines up well, bed isn't perfect on inside but could be salvageable with a couple little patches and possibly some rhino lining. Only...

    Stepside bed score!

Only thing I do is fill one tank up and use it till it is almost empty, then fill other side up. I don't do a ton of long hauls so I'm thinking either swap it like ya said or just put in a fuel cell and call it done. But we shall see, if I can score a drives side with fuel door I'll go that route.

    Stepside bed score!

Well I totally lucked out and found a mostly complete stepside bed for my truck about 3hrs away from me! Supposed to pick it up tomorrow barring any unforeseen circumstances. From the pics I got it looks really well kept and still has wood in it but will most likely be replaced eventually. Just...

Anyone just buy their own bolts to mount the bed to the frame? I'm possibly getting a stepside bed this weekend and need to get some bolts For it asap rathr than ordering them and waiting. Anyone know the sizes etc? I'm most likely going to have to cut the heads off the ones I have currently, oh...

Tailgate Hop while driving with it closed

There's only two points the tailgate bolt to, I'd see if there is anything you can do on the bracket on the right bottom of the tailgate, mine seems to be loose in that spot, might have to modify it to fit in the slot better?

    73-87 fleetside bed

Needs a little work but over all decent shape for what's been done to it, sides have had patch panels in wheel wells area, has a bed cover that snaps Into a frame, located in southern illinois, will need sanding and a little work to be done before paint, bed floor has some rust and such. Asking...

    wipers squeaking horribly

So finally decided my squeeky wipers need to go! Got new blades on and no change, tried lubing the transmission linkages under the cowl with no change, I'm thinking it's actually the parts that come up through the cowl panel and are bolted under the windshield, are there any places to order new...

    ujoint rant!

It's been off and on all day, let up long enough to get the driveshaft out and to get the ujoint pressed in but then poured on me when I got it home to reassemble! Lol

    ujoint rant!

Yeah I looked at them, gonna have to take mine out to get the sizes. Just hoping that it's not any of the special order 5 to 7 business day ujoints. Lol I hate waiting on parts.

    ujoint rant!

So I have a ujoint popping and making noise so I go to my part time job at Oreillys and look up ujoints, only 18 options! Wtf! So I have to disassemble it to make sure I get them right! Wtf? Why can't there be just one? Would that be too much to ask? Lmao

    Remove Stepside bed.

I'd just remove the whole bed, just 6/8 bolts versus all the other bolts for the fenders, sides, front panel and etc

    after market bed sides

I have thought of the sheet metal floor yes, probably way cheaper than a stock floor. Biggest problem is finding someone around here that can do the fab work, I don't have the skills for it myself. Biggest concern I have now is whether or not to redo my bedsides or replace them with repop sides...

    after market bed sides

Ok next question, I am thinking of redoing my bed floor, and both bedsides, I know oem is best but who has used aftermarket bed floor and bedsides? Mine are ok but have had a ton of work is one to them like patch panels and square doors patched in and really needs a complete sanding and filler...

    Water on floor

Might try putting the hose in the cowl in front of the window on each side and remove both kick panels and check for seapage, the seam sealer could be hiding a gap where water is coming in. Also if you can get your dash pad out you can see if water is coming in through the front window seal.

    Water on floor

Take the kick panel off and look behind, these trucks live to rust out there and the other side. Water drains out of the cowl down that are so it may be rusted and or full of debut. And letting water in.
