    Had this exact problem (hazards worked blinker left or right didn't do anything), and repalcing the switch resolved it.

    Not a great solution - it's clearing the ECM meaning it'll run inefficiently until the computer relearns everything, every single time he does that.

    In my 96 Yukon (based on 1/2 truck platform) this exact problem was determined to be the battery terminal. $3 and 10 minutes later it worked... after spending hundreds on a new battery and starter. So yeah, check that first.

    Check the battery terminals, and try to replace the battery cable from the battery to the starter. It's cheap and might fix it.
