    You sound like me. My truck would blow hard out the vents on cold but very weak on heat. Check the seal and gasket on the vent distributor. It's the piece that attaches to the front behind glove box.

    Holley 4175. I like it but mpg are bad and it is starting to leak down on #2 cylinder and that is only plug that is carbon fouled. Plus it's leaking fuel at throttle shaft.

    you can buy just the pigtails for tail lights, reverse, license plate.. and make your own with wire if you want. one is plug and play.. the other is more work. I needed the intermediate body part but they don't have it for my year..so I had to repair my melted wiring myself.

    I dug into this again! I about froze the two mornings it was around 10 degrees and snowing. I finally figured it out. The gasket that is suppose to be at the vent distributor was gone along with the foam gasket at the top of the vent distributor. Got some foam out off one of those window kits...

    I have a carb 350 and my DUAL tanks are hooked into the vapor canister but nothing ever pulls it out. I am going to install an axle breather on the line that is next to the canister from the tanks and pull that big thing out... that should work.

    That sticker is on the wheel well inside the engine bay on mine. Plus it just says standard axle, check in the engine bay 83kid..where it is on my 83 truck. I only found out mine is a 3.08 from the ring gear when I did a fluid change on the rear diff.

    If you are only turning 3 grand in 3rd at 75, you most definitely have a "high" gear like 3.08. People use the wrong terms all the time with rear gears. A "low" gear is 4.10 or 4.56. Higher number = lower gear.

    update: I was driving the truck last night. If I am at high vacuum situation like maintaining speed, the heat coming through the floor on HEAT then I switch to VENT it will stay like that and blow hot until a low vacuum situation comes then it will go back to sounding like it is blowing out...
