    Completed my front brakes last night. New Calipers, brake pads, inner and outer wheel bearings. Got the rotors turned and even put a shiny new dust cap on it. Waiting for the front shocks to arrive as they were on backorder. Likely going to do inner and outer tie rods as well......surprisingly...

    No not the inner bearing seal. I'll definitely be replacing those. Its the rubber gasket on the back of the dust shield. I didn't need to remove the dust shield just took them off to clean them up.....thats when the rubber gasket tore off

    I'm cleaning up 40 years of dirt and grime. Rebuilding the 4 barrel Quadrajet....almost done. I've got the valve covers off now getting ready for new gaskets.

    Yes absolutely that will be something I check for. As for the EGR I think my frustration is that it ran fine before and now it doesn't because I tinkered with it. I get what you're saying though totally

    No i didn't touch anything inside...just disconnected the vacuum hose on it and put a slip on vacuum port plug on the egr and also on the other two spots where the egr was connected (port on top of thermostat housing and front of carb)

    So I should be getting a block off plate and eliminating it completely therefore no risk of it being stuck.
