Use donor cluster in LS swap?

I rate it as being the steepest ive ran into, but I say that bc I have a problem is absorbing information I read. I have to read something 10x or more before I comprehend the information. but reading or better yet hearing information with illustrations to get a visual understanding. (videos)...

What non 73/87 parts have you swapped into your squarebody?

So you're wanting to convert from manual brakes to vacuum assisted brakes with the 99-up GM truck brake booster and brake master cylinder. (If I understood correctly, below is my best guess) I think the pedal pushrod will be appropriate with the booster/mc it is fitted for. The pedal throw in...

Use donor cluster in LS swap?

I'll add to that last post. You'll need to make corrections in the ECM. I use hp tuners. I pulled this info directly from the help pages Standard V8 Rear Wheel Drive Applications (1999 to Current) Insert your new tire and gear in the columns on the right. If your tire height has not changed...

Use donor cluster in LS swap?

There should not be anything more than the wiring. One thing specific with the vss (vehicle speed sensor) wiring is that they need to be "twisted" or "looped" together to prevent noise interference with other wiring. I think, the wires are to be twisted 2 or 3 times per inch. Not 100% sure tho

What did the brake master cylinder all entail? Anything difficult or pretty self explanatory once it comes apart? You use the booster as well? I'm considering yanking the brake booster/master cyl off my donor 03 Silverado. Bc my c10 needs one anyways, so might as well? Some guy used a s10 fluid...

What non 73/87 parts have you swapped into your squarebody?

So I am curious after seeing a few different odds n ends off different vehicles that seem to swap in as if they were made to. So for the sake of education and sharing a little knowledge, I made this thread. What I've seen. The obvious LS swap. To go into this further, the donor vehicle, an...
