    Who ever sold me my truck didn't tell me that my trans had the same problem(look at the passenger side). So naturally I beat on the thing like it owed me money for 6 months until the trans went out before noticing the cracked ear, you should be fine.

    The guy that rebuilt the trans said he took out all the lockup wiring for simplicity. Since this is a daily that won't see much more than red light races, should I get a kit and reinstall it for mpg?

    Thats good, I just double checked and my flex plate IS actually dual bolt pattern. Last loose end is this though. It looks like I have to move my crossmember back 3/4 inches. To avoid drilling into my frame, could I make or buy a new trans mount to the crossmember to let me use the crossmember...
