Looks OK from what I can see.

    3/5 drop?

You will get a 4.5/5-ish drop with what you stated. Cutting one round off the coils will give you 2in-2.25in spring drop added to the 2.5in drop spindle would be 4.5in-4.75in. You need a 1in drop spring and 2.5in drop spindle to get the 3.5in drop. On the rear of your 85 you probably have a...

    New Hood and Hinges...Fit Problem

I assume you are trying to adjust your 73, not your 87. The holes in the hood hinges should be slotted where they bolt to the fender, is this where you are making your adjustments?

    Registering as Antique/Classic in Texas

I got antique plates on my 82, I don't drive it everyday but I do drive it anytime I feel like it, like tomorrow Im taking it to work because the weather is nice. It was $40 for about 4 years IIRC. No inspection, no windshield sticker, no front plate.

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

Got it:) It does appear to be slightly higher than a typical spindle and cut coil drop by about an inch. The top of the tire should be almost even with the fender lip, note the third truck in the pic with the 20's. Have you rolled the truck out since you let it off the jack? When the tires...

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

I'm a little confused, in this post you stated you sent back a set of drop spindles and in your original post you stated the truck has drop spindles. What spindles are on the truck now? Also, are the motor and trans in the truck? You don't want to cut more than one round off the stock...

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

I haven't been to any reputable fab shops(don't have enough funds to aquire their services) but I have seen a number of various builds over the years online and tv that have done it. Seen LOTS of this on Overhaulin alone. Cutting coils is perfectly acceptable with a band saw or even a...

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

You shouldn't be that low with 1 round cut off the stock springs and spindles. I have never had an issue with cutting springs, the spring rate debate is nonsense imo. I hear more complaints about the ride of drop springs than the ride of cut springs. Both my trucks have cut springs with no...

You would probably be better off with a 3.5/5 drop running 275/60/15 tires on the front.

    C10 drop spring question

Theoretically you are correct, the lighter weight of the 6 should only yield a 2in drop. If it doesn't drop to your liking, cut one round off the factory springs to get the 2in drop you want.

The seat is the same. The brackets are different. He can use the blazer seat with the truck brackets.

    bucket to bucket seats

If you want hibacks all you need to do is get 77 and up blazer seats. You can cover them as you wish and they will bolt right up. Mine are 82 regular cab buckets but they are the same as blazer buckets.

No one is repoping those. You will have to straighten yours or get one from the junk yard and bolt it in.

    Can anyone identify these?

Dont know what you have but here is a pic of McGaughys 2.5in drop spindles for a 1in rotor with a stock spindle next to it.

Measure center eye to center eye following the curve of the spring.

    Leaf spring replacements

The cheapest is to find a used set but you need to know if you have 52in or 56in leafs. I went back and looked at the thread you posted picks on and judging by the location of the rear hangers you appear to have 56in but you should measure to verify.
