    Losing Aftermarket Lights Periodically

Sounds to me that the controller may be the issue. Can you by-pass the controller to see if lights function and have good ground?

going "Pro Street" - the affordable way!

Judging by the remnants of the original brackets, your rear probably came out of a 70s Lincoln or Thunderbird like mine. The layout is exactly the same as mine was.

    Cab swap and legal questions

You should have no problem at all putting the 80 cab with title on the 83 frame with no title. The vin does not differentiate between a lwb or a swb so its a non issue.

    leaf springs to long

There are 2 different leaf sping lengths, 52in and 56in. Trucks with 52in leafs have the shackle hanger mounted just in front of the rear cross member and trucks with 56in leafs the shackle hanger mount is mounted just to the rear of the rear cross member. You will see holes in the frame to...

Rear end swap 2001 to 1987

You can put all most any rear end in anything but it not going to be a bolt in. It will require cutting off the spring pads and shock mounts then welding new ones on as well as setting pinion angle, universal e-brake cables, drive shaft shortening/lengthening, conversion u-joints, and...

Tire and wheel size 91 suburban with a 4/6 drop

15x8 with -18mm offset and 3.79in bs This should be OK. 15x10 with -44mm offset and 3.77in bs This will really stick out past the fender and rub. If you really want these wheels you can narrow your rear end 1.25in per side to make them fit with no suspension mods. 20x8 with 0 offset and 4.5in...

    Flip Kit w/ Lift Shackles

You can easily tell if you have 56in or 52in leads by the position of the rear hanger as you seem to have noticed. The shackle hanger is behind the rear crossmember with 56in leafs and in front of the rear crossmember with 52in leafs.

Drop Spindles, are they all the same?

These are the good brands that I would recommend. The best price on the list below are CPP that I ordered from Summit, i think they were $229 with free shipping. Personally I would stay away from the Chinese junk on fleabay. McGaughys Belltech DJM Western Chassis CPP
