I couldn't get the tail housing off one just now. Heat stroke settling in Haha need to go home for ice cold beer. I'll have to try and tackle another one at another time. But they do not look interchangable at all.
Ugh...so I found a truck and pulled the wiring. Then released it was 11/94. So its a 1995 model year :( how worthless is this harness with a 1994 4L60e? I know this is right around when changes were made
Is it possible to take the output shaft and tail shaft housing from a driver side drop NP242c and put them on a NP208? I can't find any passenger side drops at the nearby yards and I need to make my transfer case electric speedo
I'm gonna stick with the vette.
So instead of the rebuild kit get their gasket kit then some good clutch packs? Or do I still need the rebuild kit for the other clutches and steels
I PM'd retro about the speed sensors.
So rebuild parts... How does this look?

Ok so the weather in PA has finally stabilized (I hope lol). Its time to hit the picking yards. What years are the 4L60e controlled by the engine ecm? 1993-?
I currently have a 1992 TBI setup in my truck. What ecm # would I need for the 4l60e?
I found an electronic 3 wire speed sensor for...
I figure strenghth isn't changed BC its still the same weight ratings and components for the most part. Just was curious if the ecm interaction helped with fuel economy.
How crazy is it to rebuild one? Am I a fool to try and do this as a novice?
I have a TBI motor already. So sensors aren't an issue. My ECM currently controls my 700r4. I rewired it for that. So a 88-91 would plug right in. As for speedo I get my signal mechanically from the transfer case. I would assume a 4L60-E would just require me to run a few more wires between the...
Ya I wanted to stick with the 700/4L60 since I'm more mild with my truck. Just wasn't sure if letting the ECM control the tranny would make a difference. I wouldn't mind eliminating the TV cable.
Swapping 700r4 to 4L60e (or possibly 4L80e)
Here is this years long term project. Last year I swapped out my carb 305 for a TBI 350. Now that its all tuned and running perfect I'm in love. I had to cut the crap out if my torque converter inspection cover tho to make it fit the new engine. And...
