    Wait... So I could have just ordered wiper arms for a slightly later year truck and they would have worked?? My 84 has the bayonet style arms and I can't stand them. Actually I went to rock Auto and looked at the 85-87 model and they had the pin style. I don't like those at all either.

    I'm having the exact same problem! I hope you get an answer. It causes some belt squeal which is annoying. You can't really tell the misalignment in this photo, but everything looks similar to yours.

    What's the cam button for? The only time I've ever seen one was for the end of the cam shaft to control end play. Oh... I guess that's because the roller cam doesn't have the bevel to keep it in place?

    I already have my freshly rebuilt Edelbrock 600 CFM carb so I'll probably just stick with that. I'll also probably just grab an Edelbrock intake and be done with it. I also rebuilt my original qjet carb, but I could never get it to run right. I'm sure it was more my fault than anything though.

    If the block has the block off plate but isn't tapped, can the machine shop drill it out? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about changing back to the single serpentine belt setup instead of the 3 v belts.

    Could I pull a valve cover to see how the rockers are made? Would they also have rollers? If I have to pull the intake what would I look for? I'm fine with purchasing the vortec heads separately and the intake.
