    HEI distrib problem under load

Hey, since you have an entire salvage yard, do you have any diesel squares? I need the radiator hold downs at the top.

    HEI distrib problem under load

I've done this exact same thing and it does work. However just make sure the esc is still in place. By now most of them have been removed or at least bypassed.

Emblems. Custom deluxe and Silverado fender and dash.

I used the diesel radiator brackets on my 85 when I switched to a 350, had to slightly modify them to fit over the CU730 radiator. The only thing I have left of the diesel stuff is the fan shroud, filler panel and the weight that was on the 700r4. I found the filler panel over the rad locally...

Sounds good, thanks. Need the diesel ones for my swap setup.

Emblems. Custom deluxe and Silverado fender and dash.

The diesel ones are taller in the middle where the 350 goes down. I thought they were the same too until I tried to install the plastic filler panel over the rad that says caution fan. There is about a 1/2 gap where they screw on. This pic is from a 85 diesel.

    Auxiliary Battery Tray

Looks good. You may not have to heat your leg since the 70s inner fender is a little different than the 80s.

Thanks but need the diesel ones.

I know this is for emblems but it seems you have a lot of parts. Do you have the radiator hold downs that go on top? I need diesel ones specifically.

    1977 c10 worth one owner 63k miles

Well I live in TX and I'd start at 4k. It's a long bed, stripper model with a 305. Since it doesn't run you don't know how good/bad the engine or trans are. At least I see an ac compressor, I think. A must in this area. I would also get on the ground and check for rust in the floors and rockers...

    Auxiliary Battery Tray

Ok. It's a tight fit once the ac compressor is installed too.

    Auxiliary Battery Tray

It is also from the donor. I mounted it on the fender similar to how the original one was. Carriage type bolts through the fender. I had to heat the legs a little to change the angle to follow the curve of the fender.

    Auxiliary Battery Tray

It was from ebay. I just bought it for the car I pulled the engine from. I then added a support brace from the inner fender to the tube. I didn't waste money on a k&n or airaid since I wouldn't need the air box around the filter that sits on the fender.

I keep seeing the option of "custom or Silverado"...

Custome deluxe, Scottsdale and Silverado are trim levels. Silverado being the high end. These names are used for 81+ Before that, 73+ there was custom, custom deluxe, Cheyenne, Cheyenne super, and 75 started Silverado. Your burb looks to be Silverado trim level. It's also mentioned in your...

    Diesel Radiator hold downs

Hello, Does anyone have the LH and RH radiator hold downs for a diesel square? Like the one I circled in blue?

    Tailgate trim

Here is a pic of a 78 tailgate I was stripping down. It had the big Silverado banner. You can see the holes are drilled through the letters.

    Wheel choices for 4x4

I went the 17" route too on my k5, have the original 15" aluminum ones. My k10 has the 15x8 rally and so does my R10 but in 5 lug of course. For tires I went with new Mickey Thompson Baja boss AT. More aggressive than the BFG AT but not as much as a true MT tire.

    Ring and pinion gear ratio

My 82 and 83 K5's came with 3.08s and 700r4 trans. My 78 k10 with TH350 also came with 3.08s, seems to be a very common ratio. These all have small blocks. I don't think you would notice that much difference if you drop from 3.73 to 3.23.

Replacement Jeep Steering / Intermediate Shaft

Have one in my k5 from a 94. While you are there change the bearing and collar at the bottom of the steering column. It's just above the top of the intermediate. Mine was shot and had some play. Not the best pic but you get the idea.

GMT800 diff swap in a square

Ok. Then the driveshaft and brake lines should be good to go. Were you able to connect the ebrake cables? I think I see it going up to the frame but can't tell for sure.

GMT800 diff swap in a square

I have the conversation u-joint to go from 10 bolt to 14b SF. Did you need to change any brake lines or did they just connect the suburban as is? I have a hydroboost from an 85 diesel k5 that will be going in too.

    are we there yet project

I just noticed this thread started in 2016. I applaud the dedication. My k5 was almost 3 yrs (6 months at paint and body) and I was ready to push it off a cliff.
