    '98 Busurban K1500 Daily

I'd have five suburbans too if I had the land to store them. I like the pinstripe you did on the '92, it really sets it off nice, and the stock wheels are quite an improvement. It reminds me of when I got my '86 Suburban. The first thing I did was swap out the wheels for some more stock...

    '98 Busurban K1500 Daily

So I already got a thread about this unit over at the GMT400 Forum, but why not have another one here? Just to refresh you, this is the truck I traded for the '86 Suburban, then bought back. I bought the '98 for $900 back in late October 2020, with a bad transmission, previous flood damage...

Looking for 1973-1974 GMC Tailgate lettering.

Do you still have any sets? I finally got my hands on one of these tailgates and I'm missing the letters. I also am wanting to model them in CAD to maybe 3d print reproductions.

Welcome from Illinois! I'm surprised your truck still exists, I hear they salt the roads even more than they do down here.

    got wood?

I love woodgrain as well. I actually woodgrained my truck using a few rolls of self adhesive woodgrain from ACE Hardware (Just for sh!ts and giggles). It ended up looking pretty good from a distance, but it of course deteriorated pretty quickly, so I took it back off. Oh yeah, I saw this at...

    Weld or Panel Adhesive?

Panel bond should be a household product. I use it all the time to fix cracked dashes, shoes, and even my Laptop. (I picked this out of the junk bin at work because it had a smashed corner/shattered screen). This stuff is great.

    Rusty floor pans best options

If I were you, I'd take a cup brush on a grinder, clean up the metal (Both sides), then lay down some POR15. Afterwards, I'd cut out a small piece of 18 gauge steel and rivet it over the hole (Don't use Aluminum rivets). I'd then go back over it with some more POR15 and seal it all in and put...

    inline six compatability

If you're doing a 292 swap, you're going to need the special passenger side frame braket. I actually have a 292 that I'm going to swap into my '74 eventually, but I just haven't yet.

What have you done to your square lately??

So I went home for Christmas, and decided to make a video with 'Ol Yeller: I hope some of you guys get a kick out of it.

Looking for 1973-1974 GMC Tailgate lettering.

You know what you might be able to do, you could take measurements off the G, make a model in CAD (turn it into a C), and have it 3d printed. Or I could do it for you if you aren't good with cad (not the 3d printing part) All I'd need are some accurate measurments (use a caliper).

    GMC GRILLE FOR SALE!

What? I already got one. Though I've been looking for a spare, this is just too expensive for me.

    TBH 350 no third gear

Are you sure that you don't have 3rd gear? That 2-3 shift on those transmission is usually super smooth, so try downshifting it into 2nd from D. I know that there is probably an issue though, so try unhooking the detent cable and see how it goes since it could be sticking open and causing it to...

What have you done to your square lately??

What have I done to my square lately? Well physically nothing since she's 1000 miles away from me (not for long) but I did fire up the computer-box-machine went on the line and made this: I got so bored with nothing to work on, that I started playing GMOD again (what was I to do, get a second...

What have you done to your square lately??

O'l Yeller it back. Poor transmission. I had to swap out the tailhousing in order to make the shifter work, but it's all good now.

    CA legal LS swap

Man, I'm so glad that I don't live in california. I don't think that any vehicle I have ever owned would have been legal there, except for maybe my '98 Suburban, but not for long (383 swap?)

    How quick is your Square?

I got O'l Yeller up to 90 once, then she melted a piston. This was on the original 250, with 3.55's.

What have you done to your square lately??

One thing I forgot to mention I found at that antique store was this set of 1974 Illinois license plates. I also found a single 1951 plate for the Studebaker. It's great since I'm taking all three of my cars to a car show tonight.

What have you done to your square lately??

I just had one hell of a score at a local antique shop. I found me some new hub caps for both my '86 and '74. I also got O'l Yeller looking sharp after I found a nice set of parking lights. Man, the price I paid for this stuff was insane, they were probably thinking I'd use these things as...

    Decent Paint Job

I agree with that, as I work at Maaco as a paint line sander, and for the prices we charge, we don't remove much before paint, but I can say that our shop does a better job masking and prepping then the shop you took your truck to. Maaco stores are run independently of each other, so they can...

What have you done to your square lately??

You ever have one of those days where you feel like someone just stabbed you in the eye with a needle? So after getting a piece of metal in my eye while working on my sisters car, I went to the ER to get it checked out. They said that it was no big deal if it doesn't hurt real bad. The...

    My 1976 GMC K20

Awesome Awesome Truck, $500 is a steal for a truck that solid, even if it doesn't run. Does it run?

What have you done to your square lately??

Last time I painted the truck, I had at least 5 people see it in my driveway and ask if it was for sale, then they got close and saw how much of a POS it was. I expect that will be happening again.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yea, it's a great match. So for reference, GM 511 Ochre is a really good match to Ace Hardware Catapillar Yellow Enamel Tractor Paint.
