    Engine spinning backward when killed?

Believe I got the miss figured. Cranked it and went to pulling wires on the side the miss was on. Number 4 lit me up like they put me in a DC Old Sparkey! Throwed another old junk wire on there and she leveled out. I believe it's just to lean, Come to find out the main jets are for 70 degrees at...

    Engine spinning backward when killed?

Holley 2 barrel 500 cfm. Miss is there all the time. The spark plugs nor wires have been changed, wires I need have proven a challenge to find, locally I brick and mortar if possible. The miss isn't what I'm dealing with now, need it to not spin backward when it's shut down. It did it prior to...

    Engine spinning backward when killed?

350 Crate, unknown mileage year etc.. In the race car. Running really well and smooth, or was till it just developed a miss that is yet to be pursued. Idle set at 1100 rpm, timed by ear, I don't have a light. When I kill it sometimes it will just die. Sometimes it just wants to keep on running...

What new tools have you got lately?

New to me, guy give it to me. Said it would only get to 100 psi and never quit running. Well, the gauge was broke, and had a 175 pound switch. New gauge and little reset on the switch and does good for what it is. Cool old compressor.

    New Air Compressor

Craigs List, Market Place Build your own. Have heard alot positive about the big Harbor Freight v compressor. Have one and all the parts, ain;t all together yet. I've not had any luck with IR, from TSC. Nor have I ever understood the need for a 2 stage compressor. Understand at times a 1 inch...

There is a reason you, and I, don't fool with VW's. We can't get in them! Guess my other "passion" is old engine drive Lincoln welders, SA 200's. Just love hearing the old flathead Continental run. Have a 48, 63, 68 and a 78.... looks like I NEED a 58!!

What new tools have you got lately?

Eating crow, moving out of the dark ages. Yup. Cordless tools and auto dark welding lenses. Wasn't 3 months ago was cussing both of them. Started with the little impact, had a job with 250 cable clamps that's 500 3/8's nuts to tighten. Little impact did more than half of them, borrowed another...

Brakes They are on there and working, ain't drove it, but they lock up. Ayden brought up the master, a good point. Does anyone know of a master that will bolt up where this one is. It's what was in the car, regular ole master cylinder. A master that only has one resevior and a singe bore/...

Guess what. The planets didn't align. It's running, and very smooth, had the tach hooked and spun her 6300, car hardly vibrates much less shake. I dunno, didn't do it. So it will go, but wouldn't stop. Old Ford drum brakes. Get them adjusted and bled and and for about a quarter turn the driver...

Bought this pancake hood to help fight the fogging when it's cold. It worked, weighs near nothing, but was a pain, so I moved to the modern age and man this thing is nice. Edit to say. Moved to the modern age and got an auto dark lens. Apparantly they have improved over the last 20 years!!???

Build your own spark plug wires?

Sure some of ya'll do it. What kind and where did you get the crimping tool? What size is it, 10.5 mm is all I can find? Where does one find just bare wire, like on a roll, and an assortment of various ends and boots? I've looked on amazon, smileys and speedway with no luck. Well, no luck...

Decent weekend. Delete on the right front brake and proportional valve. Got the rust off the tubes and new coat of clear. Was getting the engine and trans married when a bolt broke. Made it Miller Time. Also, took the driver side door off and added a piece of 18ga sheet metal to the outside...

    VARMITS

Only way to control mice is good a good cat. A good cat is one you cannot touch, one that kills to eat, not a house cat that hunts for sport. Rats, Pack Rats require a skunk or pair as they normally are. Or a really good cat that's short of mice, snakes etc...
