    Starter Support Bracket

Looks like the starter bracket on my '86 6.2 blazer.

My 1984 K5 Plow Teeruk 6.2 Rear Diffy Is Bad...

Did you check out the "can this be welded?" string in the technical section? Might be what your diff looks like.

    Ryobi 1/2" impact

I've used a 1/2" ryobi impact for a few years has not failed me yet. I also use a torque wrench on lug nuts, just in case.

    Can this be welded, or

It's a spicer diff from a polaris ranger w/a diesel, used by a nearby ski slope for hauling guns & hoses up and down the mountain. The gear oil looked like never seize and blew an inspection hole in the case. The pinion nut loosened and walked back into the carrier then locked up the rear end...

should I use JB Weld? :D

    31-40gal gas tank upgrade

Will a 1-3/4" filler from a '87 bed fit the '78 bed? You might be able to get a radiator hose with the two sizes.

    1984 K10 Radiator

I thought they got wider and thicker not taller, but I've been wrong before.

    help to find parts

Mine came from a Chevy, they also had the spring and curved plastic puck.

    Cant Stop, wont stop.

Did this problem occur before you worked on the brakes? Does the truck have a vacuum booster or hydra-boost? Are the rears locking up? Is the proportioning valve working properly?

    Starter sometimes just quits

Also check the condition of the wires at the solenoid and battery.

Cleaning up my wiring. What does this plug go to?

Will it reach the front of the head? Dual alternator set up?

    Coolant leak after replacing heads

Air bubbles in the radiator is another indication of head gasket problems.

    194 to 250 Head Swap

If it was my project I'd set both heads side by side and measure everything. Are the tops of the valves the same? Do the rocker studs and bosses look the same? Are the 250 push rods the same length as the 194? You want to make sure the 250 has the same rocker & valve geometry. You might find...

Trying to fix up dual tank fuel system

Before you buy new sending units, put an ohm meter and test them. As the float moves up & down the reading should change.

Try searching for pre-catalyst dual, maybe '74, pipes.

    diesel tach

You might be able to get a gas tach to work on a 6.5. If you put a HEI where the vacuum pump goes and run an ignition+ wire, then you'll have a tach signal to run to the gauge cluster. Of course you'll be missing a vac pump. I had an aftermarket diesel tach that had a pick up hose clamped to...

    14 bolt SF disk brakes

I've been gathering those parts for a while to do the disc conversion , the only thing I'm missing are e-brake cables. I don't recall which vendor the brackets and hardware came from. I found caliper cores at a scrap yard and re-built ones at a local parts store.

    frame paint

I've used both and had better luck with por-15. You need to get rid of any scale for either to work well. Use a chipping hammer, needle scaler and lots of elbow grease to prep.

    Exhaust Manifolds

if the manifolds had the 8 smog tubes, I think they can be plugged with 1/8" pipe plugs.

    9.50 x 16.5 Tires??

There were 9.50 x 16.5 on my '74 when I got it and I could only find "trailer tires", don't know what is the difference. I ended up with 16" rims and 235/85 tires. I don't think there is a metric number for 16.5's.

Rear Main Seal and Freeze Plug Replacement

If it's a one piece rear main, no problem. With a two piece you'll need to pull the oil pan, maybe a problem. 2wd pans can be difficult to remove without lifting the engine to clear the front cross member.

Does anyone know where this goes?

What about clutch fork to bell crank to keep the adjusting rod from falling out.

    Seafoam and it's results

Diesel or #2 heating oil in small amounts works, just don't leave it in too long. If you want to throw caution to the wind, use kerosene.

Dual 44's, cast iron fenton's no H or X pipe. Pay no attention to the bubbles in the coolant.

6.2 rebuild for bad head gasket

At 166,00 miles, it's barely broken in. Bubbles in the coolant are most likely from a head gasket or a cracked head. If it has decent oil pressure, I'd just pull the heads. If the head gaskets look ok, have the heads checked for cracks.
