What have you done to your square lately??

Took the lower column cover off and attempted a jury rig on the broken shift bowl piece where the gear indicator wire clamps on. PO had gorilla taped it over the broken part - I did not do as well when I tried. So, I cut a piece out of a coffee cup lid, taped that in place, slid the clip on...

Can't hate on that - got 22 out of the 4Runner on my last road trip to my Mom's house. No ac - I had the moonroof open. :D

The 6 nuts that hold the booster on can be fun, especially if the factory black anti rust goop is still there. I am sure you can get them with a box wrench, but glad I did not have to! And, cant find the picture- Craftsman hollow ratchet and socket set. Oh, wait - I did !

What have you done to your square lately??

Oh, I forgot - I also locked the hubs in and exercised her in 4Hi and 4Lo - just on the street, though. Since my pretty little 4wd indicator light works now it just added to the fun. :driver:

Topped off the washer fluid, the coolant overflow, :confused:checked the oil, and played some with the EFE. The exhaust valve still works - the TVS is bad as even at full operating temperature it still is sending enough vacuum for the valve to be partially closed. Since the intake was...

    New from NE Texas

Welcome from Houston! Simple trick - keep it full at all times. LOL I hit the gas station every day, but mentally for me it's better than a 60 plus dollar fill up. But, I am funny that way. :jester:

So I guess this is my Trans Am build thread now...

So close - make that a Can Am and you got something! :) But, with the 455 and 4 speed combo it would be a nice sleeper. Poncho 4-4 ... - 4 ?

Some fat snowflakes on that ride. WS6 wheels were 8 inches wide, so I guess aftermarket ones and 10 inches. ? Looks great! :happy107: 81 ? I see the console hole is missing.

New seat bottom foam vs re-building existing?

Bought a houndstooth seat cover for my 80 from Classic Industries. Took forever- like 8 months. Only ***** I have is that the buttons on the original are not on the replacement, but even the vinyl piping is. And, the buttons can be transferred. Its not on yet because the carpet needs to...

The Camaro is a 99 - designed ( in theory ) for Dexcool from day one. Well, the weird deal with the font is that some was normal, and some was tiny. Visually jarring, and on the phone - oof. LOL

@AuroraGirl - WOW !! You should really write a novel !! Not sure why the font changed, but man, even on a PC I am having to squint to read some of that ... with the cheaters I wear ... o_O and :( . No - the Dexcool issues. Yeah, that was a mess, and probably why the water pump on...

What have you done to your square lately??

Pulled 6 & 8 out tonight- had a miss. 8 looked like it was fouled when I pulled it, but setting it down must have knocked it loose. Looked like white ash. Put a good used one in, and put 6 back in after a light cleanup. Supposed to rain tomorrow, and I don't want to sit in bumper to bumper...

Opinions on cutting out catalytic converters.

This was a 97 Isuzu Rodeo, and in doing research at the time - maybe mid to late 2000's - it seemed like a common issue across the makes. Buddy had a 97 GMC small blazer - S15? and had EGR problems. Apparently they hit a certain age and it basically amounted to non stop emmissions issues...

    Distributor Wrench Alternative

Seems like on the 91 a 14mm ( not positive on that ) quarter inch drive socket and a low profile quarter ratchet is what we used. That damn socket would get stuck on the bolt pretty easily, though. There are a pair of hard lines right in the way for the wrench, and you have to fit the socket...
