Where does negative battery cable ground wire attach?

Here's the batt cable routing from 75. Note the headlight grounding screw location. That's where that broken one went.

Seriously bummed with this drivetrain setup right now :(

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but in all reality you want the rear pinion pointed a couple degrees down from directly at the t case with a cv because youll get pinion climb under load. That way it'll be near zero under load.

    14 bolt brake drum question

I swapped from 11 to 13 on mine. Only issues I ran into were differences in e-brake cable attachment and I needed longer studs b/c the 13" drums were thicker than the 11s. The e-brake cables were b/c I had an early 70s 11 inch set up and went to a later 80s 13" set up and at some point they...

6 inch lifted 1973 truck back to stock/how to do it?

I got stock rears for my 75 off Amazon. Rockauto lists them as well. Or you could try https://www.sdtrucksprings.com/. I got them off Amazon because I got free shipping. ground shipping on a couple springs can be as much as the springs themselves.

Which A/C compressor did I have anyway?

A6 , You're missing the top rear bracket. And the brackets from the compressor itself.

    1985 small block 350 won't start

Pull a plug and see if it's wet. If it sits for half hour and wouldn't start but will start if you leave it for days, the carb could be leaking and fuel puddling and flooding the engine. You can try starting it will the throttle wide open and see if it'll start.

    Door mirror reinforcing plates?

Kinda hard to see but the tab catches a screw from the inside to hold the plate in place and the screws from the outside just screw into it from what I remember. When it gets over -10 I might be able to find my old mirrors in the garage to show you the factory parts.

    Front frame bent?

From your name I'm guessing it's a 72. The frame measurements are in the service manual section 2. http://www.mediafire.com/file/nv3m0s4hz21guhc/ST_330_72_1972_Chevrolet_Truck_Chassis_Service_Manual_10_to_30.pdf/file

Brake Booster or Master Cylinder ISSUE?

If the rears are adjusted out properly and are not the problem, then I would bet on the master. Sometimes the bore in the master can have crap in it that doesn't affect anything ........untill you bleed the brakes. Then you move the piston past where is usually lives, get into the crap which...

Some timing questions (experiencing some spark knock)

That plate is affixed to the shaft. Look at c10mixmasters photo above. The welds are not wrong. The rest of the assembly floats around the plate to allow for the advance.

    I think I need a new engine

Sounds like you removed the plug wires, then found tdc, then put #1 plug wire where the rotor was pointing? You may be 180 out on the distributor. At tdc on the compression stroke the timing marks should line up and the rotor "should" be pointing toward the #1 cylinder. Front right of engine...

    75 C30 leaf spring hanger replacement/relocation queries.

Rear spring hangers are different on one ton. The spring perch width of a one ton is narrower than a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. You'll need to find new hangers from a c/k 30.

No start, no spark, 77 Chevy 350

I vote for the pickup coil. I had a similar situation many years ago. Kept swapping ignition modules, even put the same ones back in and it would run for a few days then die. Finally decided to change the only thing I hadn't changed yet, the p/u coil, and never had a problem again.

I wonder if it has anything to do with GMC being the official truck on the 1984 Olympics.

Converted NP203 grinding sound in 2WD

That's the one. Shouldn't be impossible. They probably used a common bearing, just have to figure out the number for that one.

Converted NP203 grinding sound in 2WD

Those little bearings are part of the trashed thorington bearing dangling from the shaft. Probably a good idea to take the rest of the tail housing apart. Probably sent a couple thru the rear bearings. Looks like an old superwinch part time kit. That's what I had in mine untill I went doubler...

Early banjo bolt (at caliper) is 7/16. Later is 10mm. As was said. Buy for the year you have, as long as calipers are stock.
