Bumper is on just chipping away hoping to get a drive in before the salt flies. The bed still needs wood put in it before I can put the rear back together. -

Nothing is bolted in or cut yet just got the rough cut lumber tossed in the bed to get an idea what I'm working with, so It'll darken up after it gets coated. Stepside wood opinions?
Hey guys I'm cutting my own wood for my stepside and I can't figure out what I should do with the straps that go in the center. I can't decide whether or not I want to run the strips above the wood or flush with the wood. I can do either but I'm using a black walnut because I got a pretty good...- GMC_Nick

It's my first time painting, bought a tarp car port, some lights and a heater. Just making it happen, it won't be a show winner but pull in a cars and coffee after picking up some block and wood that's all I need. Keeping the rust off and getting it one color the best I can and I'll be smiling... -

Took the bed off and got my final coat of high build primer on the front just have to glaze over some rivets I knocked down that you could see with the bed off. Got the jambs sprayed with some epoxy primer hopefully will keep it from rusting longer. Now just gotta wait till it dries then it's my... -

Shot epoxy on my body work/bare metal today next up is some high build primer. I'm probably doing this completely wrong but I drive it so I'm looking for the old can it look good from across the home depot parking lot or riding by 35mph. This is the closest its looked to one color since the 6+... -

Rear Bumper difference?
Anyone know of using an s10 truck/blazer bumper for the back? I know some of them have a similar style impact strip and are probably real close to the width of a stepside bed. Figure that's my next best option besides running just a regular stepside bumper which I'm not a huge fan of -

Gas Tank moved to the rear finally, still have to do the final fit on the straps and run lines -

So this is sort of an open idea question. I'm relocating the gas tank on my truck to the back using a blazer fuel tank which I have mostly figured out. The question I'm thinking about is suburbans also have rear tanks so realistically could I just buy pre bent suburban lines for the new gas tank...- GMC_Nick

Took off it's pants, moving the gas tank to rear and putting a stepside bed on it -
How much for my old bed?
I promise it's not salvageable all the rails are shot thin metal all over holes all over the floor and I went in with the mindset it was too far gone so I ruined alot of the floor's bolt holes it does have a tailgate with it but it has a big dent in the middle from someone dropping a motor on it -

Fog/driving lights 81-82 bumper
You could wire it up to turn on with high beams or just a flip switch if you wanted to, I just have a fuse tap on the 5amp headlight fuse to switch on the relay. Because of how low the lights are and how the turn signal housings aren't made to really beam out the light like a headlight does, I...- GMC_Nick
