she's junk, caught on fire, gonna call insurance and cancel it and most likely turn in the tags. waste of $75 getting it legal, not gonna keep wasting $40 a month on insurance. oh and I sprayed everything with carb cleaner running, no change even unhooking the cap on the full vacuum port on front doesn't change idle. Sometimes it'll whistle when I unhook that sometimes it won't. I sprayed the intake sides the carb base and the adapter base as well as the vacuum hoses...- Swims350

yep its junk, tightened carb bolts nothing, removing the ims and cleaned them again did nothing again, this SOB is plugged up or just won't trim it down enough to run right. This is a 600 cfm carb I'd think it'd be good enough ran em on 305's and done fine but not this one. I'm done, it's down...- Swims350

they weren't they were black, not wet but black and smelled of fuel. that's why it liked running with them mixture screws all the way in. I had it set around 3 turns out before and tweaked em down to around 2, then found out all the rest, and now this. I think my dumbass might have forgot to...- Swims350

uuuugggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm done with this sombitch. I'm going to jerk the drivetrain out and start on the big truck push this outside. Toe the carb down cleaned it all put it back on with new good filters, still won't adjust the mixture as it should. It still shakes bad...- Swims350

yep she was dirty pulled it off took off the top and it had crap all in it again. now I need carb cleaner, and another filter with some line and rerun my fuel lines to be able to put a filter right near the inlet of the carb along with all th eother crap that's already there- Swims350

I'm glad you chimed in, that's exactly what happened. I went out and tried it, since they would not adjust, removed, air pressured em, got one to work, th eother nothing still. It looks like the idle circuit is plugged up. I've got a filter on it in line back at the tank, along with the in tank...- Swims350

just an update on this bad vibration.... I first found out the new distributor cap had a couple towers that would wiggle, and I'm pretty sure they should not, yanked it found a couple of them had black marks on the flat terminals tabs inside the cap. I changed it seemed better. Tried it again...- Swims350

that would be fine with me lol I had the valve covers off anyways, and before putting it in the truck I had th epan off to replace the rear main seal that was leaking, the oil pan gaskets and the front seal, timing cover as well as the timing set and oil pump. I've got a 305 and 2 350's torn...- Swims350

vibration is in the motor itself my guess is fuel or spark related miss. I removed driveshaft, tried it, same thing. I unhooked the converter from the flexplate, same thing, the motor actually wanted to miss worse with the converter unhooked, it started to stumble around 1500-2k the tach...- Swims350

I raised the cab up off the frame some to give it more clearance it helped a lil, it does it in park, not as bad as in drive though drive is terrible around 2500-3k rpms. I checked the timing as far as vac. adv. swapped sides from ported to full vac. unhooked completely. No change, better idle...- Swims350

yea I know typical build those always bugs and gremlins. Looks like the speedo cable broke up at the gauge or in it, of course making it alot harder for me to fix it. The vibrations I beleive now is one of 2 things, either driveshaft needing balanced or just the fact that the cab is resting on...- Swims350

finally got this thing out yesterday to shake it down definately has some issues to address the front tires do scrub bad. They will scrub in turns and they will scrub in bad bumps pass. side worse then driver's side. All the guys on s10 pages and fb having theirs lower then mine saying it don't...- Swims350

you sure can Curt, it's just if you want to wet sand and buff it you get into your metallics and it can be left zebra striped or streaks in it. I've done paint work on and off for years, I've painted almost everything Ive had, old silver camaro dad's 92 s10 my monte carlo his 84 c10 I did twice...- Swims350

yea I used to have them like that, gonna have togo back and do it again. Yea the k10 had 4 inch lift, I pu ton 6 and 3, but paint is not good, it's flaking off and the bed is lumpy so it's a total rebuild like always. It'll get done I just don't want 2 or 3 projects going at once all apart and...- Swims350

getting there guys, working on getting it legal to drive, gotta order front wheels to match the rear and tires. I also think I'll need to bring the front end up about an inch and then maybe the back down some if it's not level. I've got more to do underhood with some wires and touching up paint...- Swims350

Anyone recognize this lift? What is it?
the shocks should bolt stock to that bracket and hole behind where it is now on front. Also they have no steering correction for the lift, your drag link should be completely flat, can't tell if it's angled or not. You can run 33's stock and all the way up to 4 inch lift or whatever. bad thing is any used springs are gonna sag, best bet is new, but new aint cheap, you can buy lift springs cheaper then new stock ones.
