    Cup Holder

Being the LMC version i got is too small to hold an average drink cup, I really like the metal one as the holes look bigger. Who cares about crashing a square body.. They are not on par with new cars for safety by any stretch of the imagination. Cept they got lots of crumple zones. If you want...

Here's one for the Holley/Eddy debate...

I’m here in denver. We are at 5780 feet elevation at my house. Drive down to CO spring which is a little higher at 6000 feet. Drive into the mountains to the start of the course and you are at approximately 9200 feet. THEN YOU START TO DRIVE UP THE BIGGEST DAMN MOUNTAIN to the top. You can...

    1978 K20 Gas Gauge

I’d start with the instrument in the dash, because it’s easier to get at. You will need a basic knowledge of electrical circuits. Gas gauges are very simple. A coil working against a spring. There is a lot of conflicting info on the internet because there a lot of dumb;()s. You either figure out...

Here's one for the Holley/Eddy debate...

Holley (MSD) has bought Quickfuel, Demon, and others. Edelbrock will soon be the only other. Holley is pushing their fuel injection, and I feel the way they are buying up the entire automotive aftermarket to own it. Soon, emissions requirement will outlaw carburetors for a good part. They will...

    Inline 6 devac

Started right up after priming the carb. OK, so I cheated by rebuilding the carb, setting valves, retiming the engine, but, with only a vacuum advance hooked up, and the stock air cleaner. Nothing going to any of the 4 Ported vacuum switches and all the junk removed from the valve cover. Engine...

    Inline 6 devac

Engine ready for start after... lots. The only vacuum hose is to the vacuum advance, straight from carburetor. Will be adding a few more systems, but haven't started the engine yet, and a lot of dialing in to do. Nothing hooked to any ported vac switches. Will get the engine started and then...

What have you done to your square lately??

Almost ready to start.. After Valve adjust, new side cover seals, rebuilt carb, new plugs (broke the old ones?), some paint and cleaning, removing a bunch of emission stuff. Update. Runs great. Valves are quiet, carb is perfect, No emissions left, no leaks.

What have you done to your square lately??

Engine reassembly without some emission stuff... Now I work on a new vacuum diagram.

What have you done to your square lately??

Just a little paint and things start to look nice! I plan on plugging all the extra emission holes in the valve cover, for now, tilll I replace this head with an early head. I'd like to cut these valve covers to remove the humps, but not until I prove that the new emissions setup works OK.

I think I need at least one "TVS", that has a broken off port. How do I identify these and where can you get them? The blue one is broken, the orange may be OK, but probably replace at the same time.. If we can get em. I have confirmed the EFE valve does work.

What have you done to your square lately??

Rebuilt the carb on my 250 - 6. Its the original Rochester. Had tags that it was rebuilt by rochester, and Holley on it. The rebuild went fine until final assembly. Took about 30 minutes to assemble, until "the hard part". Getting all the damn rods and itty bitty circular clips back on and in...

I rebuilt a 1941 Chevy truck with a 235- six. It was very similar. In working on this 6, I found changes all the way through the life of the Stovebolt. It always had major changes every few years. Yes, it changed in 63, but also in 29, 36, 39, 47 and 87, with the integral head. So changes were a...

The new plugs fit!. You kinda gotta ram em in after the threads start, but... These are 1" long. You can see how far they go in.. Again, these are ¾-16. The hole was ¾-18 just because so you don't do this. Adjusted the (engine intake and exhaust) valves also. Easy peezzy So this means I'm gonna...
