Can I fix this by cutting out and only replacing outer?

I’m just retiring from my retirement business of classic car repair. But I had a body man! John retired and the new guy is a $&@“. I have a welder, but really stink at it. I want to learn on MY truck. It may take a while, but I’ll have learned.

Can I fix this by cutting out and only replacing outer?

My almost perfect truck needs some work. I'd Like to cut only the outer panel off the bed and weld in a bought patch panel or outer panel complete. . See photos. The inside is so nice, I'd like to keep this original bed.. These are older photos, but I could not pound out these 17 year old dents...

This is probably a bad idea, but I'm too cheap to pay for a tow.

Tow it..NO problem. What will the trailer rental cost? If the trailer is pricey, make life simple and call the tow truck guy.

    Problem bleeding

replace the left rear brake line. I usually buy a standard brake line stick that is too long, shape and cut it ½" or so long, flare the cut end (don't forget the fitting before the new flare), and I bet that will fix it. Your line is just clogged. Also, I use a mytyvac unit to suck the brake...

What have you done to your square lately??

Short version- I did a front brake job, and all the (3) hoses.. Long version- 1981 C10 6 cylinder, approximately 80,000 miles. Fullly documented service records since new (in its carfax), no mention of brakes ever. All brakes look good front and rear except for glazed rotors. Hoses look like...

Don't really know where to put this, but have any of y'all ever had to get a bonded title, and how big of a pain is it?

In Colorado it is a PITA. My car was a BMW 2002 Tii that was partially restored and my customer brought it to me to finish, then he stopped paying. Turns out, he didn't own it and had no paperwork (He had vanished by then) I had to put ads in the paper to find last owner, who I could never...

Things I never thought would happen

There are 2 kinds of vehicles..Ones that get unreliable and end up being put to pasture in one way or the other. Found the rattle! After quieting the cab with dynamat, sealing the vent window with a new latch kit, I still had this big rattle in the parking brake mechanism.
