Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

Porterbuilt is constantly improving stuff so every other year or so there's a new version with changes an some are probably not backwards compatible. They really don't need the PR so I'm betting he paid for it all. I also haven't seen him say or show the front end sheet metal he said he was getting.

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

It is, they are offering it the same as stock or a smooth version without the all the unused holes that are in a factory frame.

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

We priced him a full a No Limit frame. Rob won't build one to lay frame though as he considers that a saftey issue an Alex wants it to sit/drive like it did before. We called GSI as well an worked the best deal we could on a full frame from them, both were over 10k from what I remember. I guess...

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

I figure some hilarity will ensue shortly. Portbuilt has/includes zero instructions (or used to) he does have the benefit that they finally started marking the hardware bags. It used to be just a giant puzzle you had to figure out yourself off a few pictures. Well he has the old frame to but...

    Shock extention for low rider

Yes I consider it a mandatory part with a flip kit. I'm amazed by the people who won't buy them but then again what do I know

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

I followed him before this for a while, he usually does a price breakdown video at the end. So what he paid for it will come out then.

Green Gas Monkey Wrecked Truck being rebuilt.

I wanted to for the PR but several companies are flat out giving him several thousand dollars worth of parts. I cant compete with that, we are just right up the road from him though so hopefully I can get in on some part of it anyhow.

73-80 Squarebody XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade

About $50 I guess. I got the u-joint off eBay, it was around $34 an I think I gave $13 for the jeep shaft.

Jeep Intermediate Shaft on a Early (79 and down) Column

Ya from what I remember I did. It didn't just slide off though. I used the press at work. There is a rubber isolator in that joint so it was a little tricky to get it apart.

73-80 Squarebody XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade

I didnt melt all the plastic out. I did file it down so it fit snug an slid easily then greased it as well. No binding issues that I've seen or felt.

73-80 Squarebody XJ Steering Shaft Upgrade

Ya I did but the thread didn't make sticky status. I basically cut the top joint off the XJ shaft an put a universal in to match the column end. Here's how I did mine. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/jeep-intermediate-shaft-on-a-early-79-and-down-column.20468/

LMC is currently the only place that has a complete replacement 73-87 lower a-arm. The steel bushing arms will work for you but you'll have to put a 73-87 ball joints in them.

    EFI Fuel Pump Options

A brand new baffled 87 tank, sending unit, fuel filter and a Ep381 cost about $215 from Rock Auto. The main benefit to using those parts is they are readily available at most any parts store should you have an issue. I drive my truck alot an on long trips so easy to get replacement parts are my...

    Ebay/summit aftermarket steering columns

Stay away from these cheap imported columns. They are downright dangerous. If you don't want to rebuild yours go with flaming river or ididit only. You could send yours for a rebuild for what that junk column costs. If you Google about them you'll see all the failures an issues people have...

    Suspension Rebuild/Upgrade & Lowering Questions

With those aftermarket arms they aren't going to fill that pocket. I can't tell you why POL gas different part numbers. The companies I'm familiar with sell one spring for 63-87. They are all the same size. You can try moving the spring around to see if it fits better but it also has a...

    Suspension Rebuild/Upgrade & Lowering Questions

Do you not like where it is sitting now height wise? I think the front looks good personally. I'd put a drop shackle on the back to get it down another inch an roll with it. Fyi Western Chassis an POL are the same company now. It stinks because western used to have an awesome sales/support...
